  1. Welcome - a native Worcersterite here who hasn't been back since a quick trip in 2003 "I may grow old, but I refuse to grow up."
  2. More like stroking a jig...or changing cadence on a spinner to make it rise and fall...never had much luck with just a straight retrieve. Definitely - any trailer you'd use on a jig would work fine on a chatter.
  3. Lipless and DTs are my primary cranks - all in 'natural' colors like Bluegill or Perch....even the ESOX like cranks...but they usually take off with them.
  4. I get the best skipping with the Pit Boss - something about the 'flappers' makes it go further on the skip.
  5. Three different trailers depending on how much additional action I want to imart Zoom Fluke or Super Fluke for mild action Zoom Boot Tail or RI Skinny/Little Dippers for some thump Berkley Pit Boss or Chigger Craw for the 'flap' First when it's clear and early season, so colder water Second for running over the tops of submerged weeds mid to late season Third for ripping through grass/milfoil during the summer.
  6. I just went whole-hog with my canoe. Replaced the plastic seat with a length of 2x12, then mounted a standard boat seat to that. Without the outriggers, it was a little wobbly, but with them there was no issues.
  7. The bait-monkey approves of this message Exactly - crankbaits, soft swimbaits, chatterbaits....something else will draw them in.
  8. Those are the type of roads that make me wish for a hovercraft.
  9. We got the warmup going on as well - gets above freezing tomorrow with a 4 day string of 40s.
  10. Either that or the 1000 Miravel which is a tad lighter....I have both the Ultegra and the Miravel and like both. The Nasci is a full ounce (17%) heavier.
  11. Scrap length of dowel chucked into the drill...toss the whole shebang when full. Line spooling station? Made my own from scrap aluminum I had sitting around. Best cordless? Ryobi - I'm still using the one I bought back in 2008...it does use the new batteries too.
  12. Oh Ya - despite the Mojos and Victorys I have, my Aird-X MH/F and a 6.8:1 reel spooled with 12# YZH is still my spinnerbait/bladed jig rod
  13. I could make an off-color comment here, Mike....but I'll refrain.
  14. Oh ya - the stack is one that you definitely want to keep clear
  15. St Croix had this in their Factory Store in their 'Retired Rods' section - for $125 I couldn't pass it up.
  16. I've never had an issue with rust, and the only thing I've used is the silica gel packs in my Plano Pro-Latch boxes.
  17. My six-pack turned into a pony-keg years ago.
  18. Great news, Koz. I know the current job has been a headache for you. Here's to better things to come.
  19. Heck - my frog rig is STILL a Fuego CT-XS on an Aird-X - well under $200.
  20. Interesting - the IGFA got different results on their tests of YZH
  21. I really didn't get much of a chance to really test it as I was shore-bound and it was on my main jig rig. But it seemed okay...I'd compare it favorably to InvizX, but it's price is higher, so I'd probably pass on it....it was given to me as part of a gift package, not purchased by me.
  22. Ya, I don't use it on all my rigs - I've got InvizX, Sniper, Spro Gouken and some Tatsu for FC...832, Smackdown and YZ Super for braid - testing Revolve this year, and Seige for Mono. What ever gives you confidence is the line you should use. 😊
