  1. I'd probably take a pic for myself then let it go. If I went 'public' with it, there'd be no end of people bugging me with - 'What was the weather like?', 'How deep was it?', 'What lure and presentation did you use?' - everyone trying for as much information as they could get to try and beat it. Na - I'd know I'd caught it and that's good enough for me.
  2. Sounds right - if you draw it down to near zero charge, just a bit over 7 hours for that battery/draw.
  3. Or even more recent. Zoom's Fluke Tail Goby is a great little bait for drop-shot or finesse-Jika, but it's not made anymore. I've had to fill in from places that still have some stock - including Evil-Bay. With other makers coming out with Goby style baits, you'd think Zoom would dig out the molds and put it back into production.
  4. Ya - suggestion would be to go straight FC or straight braid...I won't buy a microguide rod for that reason.
  5. Quick ones that will hold? Alberto or Albright. I prep my rigs with a FG, but if I have to re-do leaders on the water, it's an Alberto. It's quick, it's slender and it's strong enough.
  6. That seems to be the way things are going - more manufacturers are removing the A/R switch. I think Shimano started it - and the newer model Pflueger reels are also now without it.
  7. Far from it, dear - your catch rate is head-and-shoulders above mine...I wish I could do 1/10th as well as you do on the water.
  8. I keep all my plastics in bags...sometimes not the ones they came in though. I get laminated bait bags from These People...they even hold up to Elaztech. Lets me custom-size the bags to the bait instead of having bags that are WAY too big for some of them. Then those bags go into Plano Open Compartment boxes (3607-10 or 3707-10) sorted by type (Stick Baits, Craws, Paddletails, etc)
  9. Between the bunks, the keel roller is just to help center the boat....so just touching. Beyond the bunks, it provides support for the boat...so a little more firm on the pressure there.
  10. That is heart-breaking, Tank...take a breather...we'll be here when you get your mojo back.
  11. And when you're desperate, you'll toss everything including the kitchen sink...
  12. Shouldn't that be 'brown glove'?
  13. I'll take Goth Bass, thank you - with the lovely Patricia.
  14. Yesterday was spent retrieving the items from mom's estate either specifically left to me, or that I'd claimed from a list. Couple of them were framed prints from my Grand-Uncle...let's see if @A-Jay can fully identify them (I know what they are, just wondering if he does.)
  15. Zoom Lil Critter Craw, UV Speed Craw , Z Craw Jr., Tiny Brush Hog - any of those would make a good Ned 'craw' imitator...I use the Tiny Brush Hogs myself.
  16. It's a common logperch - part of the darter group. https://nas.er.usgs.gov/queries/FactSheet.aspx?SpeciesID=821
  17. ^ I'm with Kent - my MH/F spinning rig that I use for skipping and light pitching has a 2500 on it. Casts far enough and I have no issues with line management...course I run braid to leader on all my spinning rigs...20# Smackdown to 10# YZH for this rig.
  18. Cut off the alligator clips, crimp copper or even aluminum terminals onto the bare wire, bolt to battery. If you want to be able to disconnect easily - put a set of these between the battery and the TM...make sure the wire gauge is correct for the amount of Amps you can pull at max....usually 6AWG or 8AWG. (Pictured is 6AWG)
  19. I just gotta remember to put the plug in when I close the valve to the livewell drain...make that a habit.
  20. Ya - it does depend on how close to the waterline you are. Since Bass Trek sits up higher than a standard bass boat, a roll-cast IS mandatory for me to get the lure to skip.
  21. And to quick-inspect your boat and trailer to make sure you're not dragging weeds and other things from one lake to another.
  22. Yep - to get the lure low enough to the water to skip it, a roll cast is almost mandatory.
  23. If only my lawn was that short. 🥴
  24. No leader - straight YZH.
