  1. I would have guessed 'Skull and Crossbones' myself, Katie.
  2. Even better - if you upgrade and sell the rod, the balance of the warranty transfers to the new owner.
  3. 20# Seaguar Smackdown in Lime Green to 10# YZH
  4. Kittery Trading Post - Online retailer.
  5. I knew I liked you for a reason. If it's Apple, I don't want a thing to do with it...and the only Micro-snert thing I have is the OS on my desktop and laptop otherwise it's 3rd party apps. Phone has been Samsung since the mid 90s, with service from AT&T - camping in the late 90s/early 00s, out in the boonies of Kansas, people kept wanting to borrow my phone cause theirs (Verizon, Sprint, etc) didn't have service while mine did.
  6. Shore fishing this morning - almost skunked, but I'm not too proud Also tried a Finesse-Jika with a few different plastics...3" Tiny Brush Hog (GP), 3" Rage Bug (GP), 4" Zoom C-Worm (Wtrmln Seed)...something wanted it, lots of 'tap-tap-tap', but it never committed to any of them.
  7. Typical lazy cajun. Me - I'm just hanging around.
  8. Voracious reader - there are stories out there that use the term and I looked it up when I first came across it about 55 years go...and it stuck with me.
  9. The 4# Siege IS the leader - and that long to let it get down far enough cause 832 floats.
  10. Nice thing about slip bobbers...give the line a twitch and the lure comes up several inches before the bobber moves appreciably. So basically you could 'jig' the wacky worm under the bobber to impart action.
  11. Dictionary Definitions from Oxford Languages · Learn more long pig /lôNG piɡ/ noun noun: long pig; plural noun: long pigs a translation of a term formerly used in some Pacific islands for human flesh as food.
  12. If that's how you feel - we'll serve you 'long pig' instead.
  13. I would think it'd be more like this
  14. Pick your pound-test - tie-able wire leader.
  15. I'm braid-leader on all my spinning rigs. My UL rig is 8# Sufix 832 to 4# Sufix Siege...8'-12' leader.
  16. I'd rather 'lose' one Zoom bait per fish than one Yamamoto bait per fish....much more reasonable cost/benefit ratio.
  17. Our last 'mom & pop' store closed this past year - Wayzata Bait and Tackle. We do have 'Waypoint' which opened last year - started by a local guy who won the 2014 High School Fishing Championship and went on to fish MLF's college circuit 2015-2018 and the Champions tour in 2021. Stock is mostly Japanese (Geecrack, DUO, Ichikawa, etc) baits and lures with St. Croix, 6th Sense and a few other names tossed in. Myself - between Scheels and Fleet Farm I can get pretty much all my needs met...with reels ordered from Digitaka and rods from ALF.
  18. You mean like Katie does in her canoe?
  19. Steve Rogers actually did some tests using a hydrophone...sonar was the main thing, but he also did a little bit with TMs and just general boat sounds. Results were surprising. Sonar and other sounds.
  20. Pit Boss fanboy here as well - Skeet's Chartreuse Shad for light color lures, Green Haze or Green Pumpkin for darker lures. Avatar pic bass was caught on white/charteuse spinnerbait with a Skeet's pit boss trailer.
  21. I use a MH/F spinner primarily for skipping jigs or weighted soft swimbaits as I can't skip with casting gear worth a d**n. I'll also do light pitching, it's a second spinner/plopper rod and even work swim jigs with it.
