For those that can’t get E0, have you considered removing the ethanol from the gas? There are plenty of YouTube videos that show how to do it. I wouldn’t try it with my boat but I might with someone else’s boat. ?

Pump labeling requirements vary by state. In some states retailers are not required to label gas that contains ethanol. Here in Tennessee it must be labeled if it has more than 1.5% ethanol. We are fortunate here to have plenty of stations that sell ethanol free gas. My boat has never tasted ethanol. The closest station to my house only sells ethanol free gas. If you can currently buy ethanol free gas there is no reason to think it will not be available after June 1st.

Can you explain? The only thing I’ve seen in the news concerning E15 is that the President has suspended the federal ban on the sell of E15 during the summer months to reduce fuel prices. Normally, only E10 can be sold from June 1st through September 15th. If I trim my motor all the way down it will block my side imaging and I see a reflection of what’s on the right side on the left. This happens even if I’m not moving. I don’t think that’s what’s happening in your case. I think your side imaging is being blocked by air when the left side of the transducer comes out of the water as you increase your speed. It’s hard to tell from the photo but it might help to lower the transducer a little.

LifePo4 battery manufacturers are claiming 3000-5000 cycles. Very few angler that have a job and family fish more than 100 times a year. That’s 30 - 50 years of use! I just installed a 75 ah LiFePO4 for my electronics and used it for the first time yesterday. It worked great. 2999 cycles remaining ?.

Maybe I’m just lucky but in 30 years as a boat owner I’ve never owned a bad battery. At the end of the day, I’m always exhausted before my TM batteries are. In the past I’ve always bought the best battery I could get at Sam’s Club or Walmart. My current boat came with Interstate batteries and they’ve lasted 4 years and are still going strong.

Casting distance is not a function of the length of the rod. There are many variable that determine the distance of a cast. Theoretically, if you increase the distance from the tip of the rod to the fulcrum (pivot point) by a certain percentage then the velocity of the tip will increase by the same percentage for a given angular velocity. If you increase the length of the rod by adding length to the butt of the rod, the tip velocity will not changed. At lease that's what they taught me in my engineering dynamics class 40 years ago. They may have changed the laws of physics since then.

You’re averaging 12-14 on a lake where tournaments are won with 18. That’s pretty good.

Can you post a picture of how your transducer is mounted?

You should be able to network the two fish finders together with just a cable. It you want to add any more things to the network then you would need a switch. If you get an Ultrix with I-pilot link then you would need the switch to add it to the network with two fish finders. The Mega 360 transducer can be used as a side imaging transducer. I’ve never tried it so I don’t know how well it works.

I see some noise near the transducer when my prop is turning but it doesn’t affect what I see at a distance. I would guess that the left side of the transducer is out of the water when you get up to speed.

Yes according to the theory, higher sensitivity will cause you to feel the bite faster and cause you to loose fish. Here’s Rick Clunn explaining the theory. Because a high percentage of anglers will not use a cheap rod even if someone like Rick Clunn says it might help them catch more fish. That’s why rod manufacturers will sell you an expensive rod made of low cost fiberglass. Personally, I try to focus on being familiar with what a strike feels like on the rod I’m using. This requires time on the water.
