  1. I would expand to thinking about Fisher House. There’s 3 locations in Maryland. Maybe they’d like to help with the fundraising or marketing/promotion aspect. I know it’s a different way of helping vets by helping cut costs of travel expenses. Free lodging for hospital visits, things like that.
  2. I don’t know if these are new or not, but Zoom has a G Tail worm that looks similar to these gator tails.
  3. How have these been working for y’all that have one? I bought two, one regular and one of their new popping frogs but I’ve not been out fishing yet.
  4. Y’all, I enjoy coming here and posting, and even meeting a few at the Classic. We appreciate the kind words, thoughts, and prayers. It means a lot. He won’t be able to go fishing, but we can watch it together. Just need to to see what he wants to do.
  5. Why does that guy have yellow shoes and yellow fishing rods? I like Ish, why is he allergic to pork? Thats the guy that screams a lot. His fish was a little smaller than he thought. How old is that one? I don’t care if he’s from Alabama, he looks like he’s 15.
  6. I fish Guntersville a few times, it’s already time up there.
  7. I use a 3/0 EWG hook with my senkos.
  8. Well, this update saddens me. The FIL has had setbacks due to medicines causing damage to some organs and he’s not a candidate for radiation/chemo. The 48 weeks we were given has been whittled down to two months or so. And that was before getting more bad news. So it may be sooner than that.
  9. Yea, I see what you’re saying. Now they’re guaranteed 2 days plus fan appreciation/marketing/promo stuff the other days they aren’t fishing. It’d be a world of suck if you had a bad day and ended up having all of those reservations and what not to pay for in addition to driving all that way.
  10. How about instead of groups of 40 fishing twice, have a Group A, B, C, and D with 20 anglers each. Top 10 move on to day 5 and then the top 10-20 out of day 5 go to the championship day 6? You’ll have an angler fish up to 3 times if they make it to day 6.
  11. I’ve sat around a lot the last few weeks going through different presentations I can use this year. One of the reoccurring presentations is the wacky rig. I know that the Senko is widely used in that department. I have a 3700 tray full of nothing but Swim Senkos. It got me thinking that I could use those and see how it works for me. Does anybody use a paddle tail worm or paddle tail fluke for a wacky rig?
  12. I found a Blackhawk holster that is their version of the sticky holster. The material isn’t as thick as the Sticky, it’s almost like a fabric instead of a coated neoprene. I also picked up a box of Critical Defense 110gr +P loads for SD ammo.
  13. My boat is out of order for the time being and I want to beat the banks. I can go from Gadsden, Ohatchee, Lincoln, Riverside, down through Sylacauga and Cropwell. Are there any any good honey holes I can stomp around at that’s somewhat accessible?
  14. Y’all may remember my thread last month about my FIL having a terminal brain tumor. I want to make a large oversized reel handle and knob. I imagine I could find a large pull cord handle for a lawn mower but I’m not sure how I would attach it to a handle. If I can find a reel that I can change the retrieve to left hand the issue would be him holding on to the handle with that weak/uncooperative right hand. I could probably make hard lashings that would act like a brace connecting the rod to his arm. Any my ideas or suggestions are greatly needed and appreciated.
  15. I have a 642 Airweight .38 special and am trying to figure out if I want to pocket carry it or carry it inside waistband. What kind of holster do you use and and how do you carry yours?
  16. Y’all feel free to move to Guntersville. I need a guide. ?
  17. I thought the previous year’s winner did get an automatic invite. But, I’m not sure since he won’t fish any BASS tournaments this year.
  18. “Relaxation,” lol. Puppy dog tried to protect her humans from the sleeping wiener dog. She was surprised her barking didn’t wake it up.
  19. This is my first boat and I’m clueless. It’s a 1987 Laser my FIL bought. We’ve had it the last two years and the last time out the Lowrance didn’t turn on. I finally have time to figure out why it’s not working. Also, my trolling motor only lasted about 3 hours until it died. This is after having it charged for a few days.
  20. I told him I love using his Senko and Swimsenkos. He suggested another technique to use the swimsenko. He he told me instead of only using it as a swimbait to try using it flipping.
  21. You could probably get a similar action from a Zoom Z3 Swamp Crawler. The things about these worms, they have an extremely small profile and are hand poured.
  22. I was at the Classic this weekend and ended up with two of the Stanford Boom Boom frogs. One is the standard Boom Boom and the other is their new Boom Boom Popp’r frog.
  23. @Bobby Uhrig was on a roll cracking jokes about you Saturday morning to me. Sorry I didn’t swing back by Bobby, time ran out on us before I could come back. I still want a pack or two of those stand-up shakey heads y’all were showing off in the fish tank. Do you have a store website?
