  1. I won’t be able to buy one if it has a stupid name printed on it.
  2. Just saw the hook up tackle Instagram post. They have boxes of the new o ea going out tonight for the pre orders. A whole bunch of people about to get some sweet rods.
  3. Nice, love to hear about the rod after you get some time with it. I was gonna grab one right before they pulled them. Looks sweet
  4. Never had a bite on a hollow bodied frog. I’ve casted off or snagged all six jackhammers I’ve tried in the last two years. Almost immediately after tying them on. One time I casted off two and snagged one in like 25 minutes. Talk about sour. I don’t get it. This year I have two more jackhammers two foggies and two thunder crickets. If i loose these with no fish. Right after I throw up I will vow to never buy another blades jig.
  5. Mice fish. Good looking one also. Supposed to say nice.
  6. Well men, as a collective I think we need a better argument then the shoes. It just doesn’t hold up. good luck picking that third rod. When I was at that point, I found that third one to be the toughest one to decide on. #1 is easy. #2 not so tough after you spent some time on the water, with #1. That third one is tough. There’s just to many things you wanna try. If you didn’t have a reel I would vote medium spinning outfit. Have fun.
  7. Since you already have 2 mh rods, I would go with the dobyns fury 705cb. You can throw crank baits, spinnerbaits, lipless and a few other moving baits. Moving baits is where the dc shines in my opinion. $120 and enough change for line for the reel. Good luck and have fun.
  8. I have the fury, never used the champion so I can’t comment on that. I’ve found the fury to do everything I’ve wanted it to do. I also find it fairly versatile. I might be in the minority, but I love it for 1/2 ounce spinner baits. I rarely miss or loose fish on it. I’m sure the champ is a better stick, but everything I’ve used it for the fury has been fine. Fury 705cb + currado dc + 5/8 lipless = unbelievably long, long casts.
  9. Yup it blew my mind. It’s funny the looks I get when I show up to the pond and there is two guys throwing 1/4 Ounce inline spinners on ultra light rods. To them I show up with what looks like a surf caster. I can tell what there thinking when the spro 50 splashes down in the middle of the pond. Then I catch a couple two pounders And they leave. Lol.
  10. I had the same thoughts as you for a bit. Then just decided to go for it. I fish from shore also, so I went with top water baits. It’s allot of fun. I haven’t had a ton of success or any really big fish yet, but it’s still fun. You’d be surprised how many 2/3 pound fish you catch on the 10” mega dog or spro rat 50 At first you have to leave your other gear at home, so you stick with it. Once you catch a fish on a big top water, it will Absolutely possess your mind.
  11. Great video, I’ve seen that one a few times.
  12. That’s pretty sweet. Cool video, very dramatic. They should have used James earl jones for the voice over work.
  13. IMO I feel like the chronarch belongs on a light crisp rod. Not a heavy worm rod. Not sure why I feel that way, I just do. I have both reels. The chronarch I keep on a m/f for light t rigs and some other lighter presentations. The currado is fantastic for cranking in veggies. Again I have no grounds for thinking this way. The chronarch just feels like a 1/8 t rig, jerkbait. Type of reel to me.
  14. I’m gonna be restocking plastics. I don’t really count that as a purchase lol.
  15. A better jig set up. 7’2” heavy expride, Bantam mgl.
  16. That’s pretty cool.
  17. I use a bps carbonlite 2.0 6’6” m/f. I have a chronarch mgl on it for light t rigs. It’s fairly light and crisp. Great for up to a 1/4. It really shines with a 1/8 and a t rigged rage craw. Of coarse I’m talking about weight of the bullet weight not the total. Also great for weightless plastics if you can cast them.
  18. Good luck, hope it goes well.
  19. That’s because it’s the best bait ever. Slow roll it, hop it, pop it, rip it through the grass. I try to use other baits I really do. I like them so much I catch them two at a time with them. This really happened.
  20. Damm dude, you been loadin up on the hard baits. I like it.
  21. A chronarch would fill up pretty fast, with 20# flouro no?
  22. On that right up, they seem kind of versatile.
  23. I did that once spooling one up. Couldn’t for the life of me figure out why all the line was all going to one side. Words were used.
  24. Cool, you’ll be calling seiberts tomorrow.
