Strongest knot for glide baits
I use the Eugene knot. When you tie it correctly, you can hear and feel it lock into place. If this doesn’t happen cut it off and retie. I have t had any failures with this knot. YMMV

Your Favorite Topwater Propbaits
I’ve been using inline hooks for 6-7 years. Fish don’t come unbuttoned once hooked and the biggest benefit is there’s no tangled mess when you net fish. Most of my friends have switched also

Ballhead Jighead options.
This price is cheaper than you can pour your own. They are so cheap, I’m thinking these books could be seconds. If I was going to buy a big amount of these, I would call and inquire about the hooks YMMV

Quick and uncomplicated way to polish spinnerbait blades and spoons
I use Renaissance wax. It’s good for wood and metal. Museums use it. You can get it on Amazon

I wipe my rods down for years with liquid gold. Makes the look new and doesn’t harm them

Help me learn to trigger these fish
I fish for sooted bass. When this happens, it means the lure doesn’t match the size of the bait they’re eating. Most of the time the shad is tiny. A 2” swimbait on a 1/32 oz head works almost every time. You just need patience to let the small weigh flutter down. Several of my friends are successful doing this too. And yes, any size spoon they use is ignored

Fishtechy - Cool fishing gizmo
When you fish a tournament, you can only have a legal limit in your live well. If you have a limit and catch another fish, you can’t keep it until you find cell service. You have to know which fish to release right away. This is the wrong choice as the only device to carry to weigh your fish. YMMV

Fishtechy - Cool fishing gizmo
This wouldn’t be my only way to weigh fish in a tournament. It would be useless if you didn’t have an internet connection’s

Purchasing a BFS rod, and overwhelming at selection. Open to considerations.
I’m using a GLoomis IMX 781 SJR. They’re discontinued but there were some on eBay. I’m throwing 1/16, 1/32 and 1/64 oz weights. Soft tip with lots of backbone and power

Question about Pro Fishermen
Their job Is to sell lures, so naturally they’re going to mention their soonsors lures. Lots of times they catch fish on these lures. But many times, when asked, the will give a generic answer. Like crank bait, Spinnerbait, etc, without mentioning a manufacturer. There’s no pro that only has sponsored baits in the boat. They’re smart enough to know other baits work just as senko, or even better. Their con will determine what they can /cannot say about the lures they use. I. Know 2 guys who have fished the Elite Series. Both have multiple sponsors and both carry/use lures other than their sponsors. Neither is allowed to mention any manufacture other than their sponsors. Every company has a different contract but they are basically all the same. If a pro has a crank air sponsor and tells you he caught his fish on a crank bait, most people will assume it’s the lure from their soonsor. This is. It always true. Pay close after to the interviews and you’ll see this

Ike jime
I was taught how to do it. There’s a learning curve but once you get it down, it’s pretty easy and fast. There are several easier, faster ways. Do a video search for “how to bleed a fish” and yes, doing it properly does make a difference in taste

Ciguatoxin Is A Neurotoxin In Some Predatory Fish
A general rule to follow is to never eat any fish that has human like teeth. Most Of the time you find them in the coral reefs. They are loaded with nasty stuff due to biological amplification.

Where do you buy fly tying materials?
Does it have to be a n online seller. If there’s a Sportsmans Warehouse close to you, check them out. A friend of mine ties and he says they have a big selection and good prices. He buys there rather than online

Would You Wear These?
Do you have a link with more info. Price? Thanks

Pet Peeves
Mine is people who talk to you on speaker and don’t tell you another person is listening. If I say something or ask a question and someone else answers, it really bugs me

Counting bass
I use a clicker also. No need to strain the brain trying to remember. I’m on the water to relax. YMMV
