  1. A #6 in-line will be too small. Take a look at this conversion chart
  2. Wouldn’t a phone call answer everyone’s questions?
  3. Call or make a trip to HI’s Tackle in south SF. Jonah can help you find what you’re looking for https://histacklebox.com/

  5. I’m on the water at safe light and back at the ramp around 1, unless I’m catching a fish every other cast. Then I’ll stay unti it’s stops or 3pm, whichever comes first.
  6. If you’re looking for a giant bait, I paint these. They’re 12” long and weigh 22 ounces.
  7. I and all my friends use a Relief Band. You wear it like a watch and it send electicalnimpulses to stop sea sickness. I tried everything until a friend let me fry his. They’re pricey but it works. The good thing is you don’t have to turn it on unless you start to feel sick. You’ll feel better right away. Good luckAmazon has them, I couldn’t get the link to work, sorry
  8. I’m using the gamakatsu micro pliers and they work on size 0 splits rings. Lol go
  9. If you’re going to teach someone to fish, teach them to fish. Don’t fish, give all your attention to the pupil. If you’re fishing, you aren’t paying enough attention to helping them.
  10. Years ago, I think in the 80’s a company made a Binky Bug It was a flat tail grub the that several strands of rubber inserted in the body. They worked then and I’m sure they going to be popular again
  11. Maybe you can make something similar with PVC tubing
  12. I’ve used a Carolina rig with curly tail grubs to catch surf perch in the ocean
  13. I can pour this head for you. It’s 1/2 oz with a Mustad heavy duty 6/0 hook. PM if interested. Thanks
  14. I’m using a GLoomis GLX 802 JWR med ex fast for top water, jerkbaits, blades. It has a soft tip but a lot of backbone
  15. Im fishing for spots. I wacky rig a 5.8” Jackall flickshake worm in green pumpkin on a 1/32oz jig head. I’m using 4# line.
  16. A flock of turkeys on a spring morning
  17. I’m the odd one in the group. I only use plastic baits that I pour. I guess you can call that one brand. There are no other plastics in the boat unless my non boater is using them. I have a big assiortment of molds I’ve accumulated over the years so I can pour lots of different baits. 50-100 fish days say I’m doing something right
  18. Most of the time I don’t know what I’m going to eat until lunch time. My non boaters always bring lunch. It’s always good
  19. Not really a wake bait but if you want something big, how about this glide bait! It’s 12” long and weighs 22 ounces
  20. Dops Buzzjet
  21. If you want To learn more, look up orthostatic hypotension
  22. Be careful of jumping/ standing up real fast. If your blood pressure is on the low side, you could get dizzy and fall. A friend is a physical therapist at a rehab center. She gave me a daily workout for my legs. With breaks between exercises, it takes about a hour. You go at your own pace and it’s a good workout. I stand when I fish and this keeps my legs in shape
  23. When it’s overcast, I throw top water for spots
  24. I remove the trebles on the few baits I have with three hooks and replace them with an inline book on the front and back, no middle hook. I haven’t had any problems having fish come off. YMMV
  25. I don’t use scent. I’ve fished with people who always used scent. There was no difference in the number of fish we caught. If you think scent works for you, use it. so far, no one who uses scent has done well enough for me to try it. YMMV
