  1. My mistake, thanks for the correction
  2. This color has worked for me in all conditions, except night, which I don’t fish
  3. Get a Mustang hydrostatic vest. No CO2 cartridge. It inflates by water pressure. No chance of it going off in the rain or humidity. A little pricey but consider what you’re using it for
  4. I saw he wants smaller. Just giving him a less expensive option. Thanks for your reply
  5. Is it an automatic bilge pump? If so, the float could be stuck
  6. Take the insert out of a small rubber core sinker.
  7. My friends and I use this. The bait doesn’t slide down the hook
  8. Length doesn’t matter as much as diameter . Use a bait that has a thin enough body so the blade has room to spin.
  9. Ranger would be the place to buy replacement fenders for their trailers, but unfortunately they don’t make them for trailers that old. A friend had a fender damaged on a 2000 Ranger Trailer. He took the trailer to a fiberglass shop and had it repaired. Take it to a local fiberglass repair shop and get an estimate. It might be close in price compared to buying the new fender and doing modifications.
  10. Like a lot of things, different people have different results. Keep doimgnwhat works for you. Tight Lines
  11. You don’t need the paper clip, just heat up the screw lock. It just has to be warm enough so you can handle it
  12. If I’m not mistaken, Sunbrella is used for outdoor furniture
  13. Hope Savage Gear takes care Of you. If not, Sportsman’s Warehouse sells generic tails that can be modified to fit
  14. My experience was not funny but embarrassing. We pulled up to the dock in my brother’s boat. There were 3-4 other boats waiting to pull out. I got out and started walking up the ramp. I heard this guy swearing like crazy. I looked around and saw a truck having a problem backing down the ramp. The truck went back and forth a couple of times with the guy still swearing at the driver. I walked over to the truck and saw a woman crying. She said it was her husband who was yelling. It turns out she had never backed a trailer up before and he had her do it. I told her I would help and she said her husband would get mad. I told her he could yell at me if he wanted but there were other people waiting to get their boats. She moved over and I backed the trailer in the water. The clown started swearing again when he saw me get out of the truck. The woman thanked me and the guy was still yelling at her as he was going up the ramp. What an idiot
  15. If you have to bring in a biologist from out of The area, you aren’t going to like what he’s going to charge you. I suggest you just fish the lakes and enjoy them
  16. Your local Fish & Game office should be able to put you in touch with their biologist. Don’t waste your or the biologists time if you don’t have a fairly fat wallet. It’s not a job that can be done in a couple of hours. Good luck
  17. When I run into other people who are fishing, I don’t offer advice unless they ask. I go fishing to relax, not to upset others.
  18. Take the batteries with you to camp and connect them to a charger overnight
  19. Welcome to the forum. Post enough times so you can post in the classifieds. People interested in buying will look there. Not bashing you, but some people are wary of someone trying to sell things with their first post
  20. IMO, the reel will put the line on the spool more uniform than someone manually moving the line back and forth while the spool is spinning.
  21. You should think about hooking up a trickle charger to your generator. It’s best if a generator battery is kept at full instead of letting it run down. The Noco Genius 1 would be a good choice. Even keeping the battery well maintained, it will only last 3-4 years.
  22. I use a hand poured 5” grub. These heads keep the bait from sliding down the hook. You’ll lose the head before the bait comes off
  23. These have worked well for me
  24. I’d be afraid of bending the lip catching a fish. It might be able to be straightened but there’s a chance of if ruining the action of a $20 bait. I’d throw a small wakebait
