  1. Take one out of the bait and post a picture so we know what it looks like
  2. A curly tail grub would be effective.
  3. If you do it yourself, make sure your measurements are accurate. Cutting the hole too big would not be good
  4. I use 13” & 16”’worms I pour. I use a VMC straight shank 5/0 hook, 1/4 oz brass worm weight and an 8mm glass bead. Big spotted bass like big worms
  5. Are you planning on doing this yourself? I suggest you find a shop or someone who has done this to your model boat. You don’t want to cut into a cross beam or strut. You might not have enough room for the install. Make sure it will fit before you start cutting
  6. Call them and they’ll put you on a list to get it when it’s a available
  7. I use a weightless merthiolate trick worm in all water conditions for spotted bass
  8. Watch a couple of videos and learn how to filet a fish without cutting through the bones. It’s easier and faster than trying to cut the bones away. Plus, you don’t need a big heavy duty knife, even for bigger fish
  9. I’ve been using silicone tubing bfrom Amazon. Works in the same way and it’s a lot cheaper. You just cut the size you want. YMMV
  10. I’ve done it Both ways with no problems. When I store the paint in the PVC cups I use a PVC cap. I take the cups off the fluid bed and store them in a drawer. If you don’t paint that often, I’d suggest putting the paint back into the original container. YMMV
  11. How much are you paying for a 2024 fishing license? Here in California the basic license is $61.82 and is good for one year from date of purchase
  12. Are you fishing brackish water? Minnkota’s warranty is void if you use the motor in brackish water.
  13. Let us know if it works
  14. Lots of things in nature aren’t perfect. Just fish it
  15. 99% of my fishing is on Lake Shasta. It has 375 miles of shoreline and 4 major arms. Spotted bass is the predominate Species but there are 16 varieties of fish in the lake. Fishing is year round and 100 fish days are possible. Average days are 30-50 fish. Fish can be caught on a variety of methods. No need for me to go anywhere else. Almost forgot, the lake is 15 minutes from the house
  16. Hope you get well fast. people have to understand COVID is still around and they still need to be cautious. When I go to the store, it’s only me and a couple of people wearing masks. RSV is going around too. You cant be too careful
  17. Flux the lead and every time you add lead. Impurities can cause your problem
  18. No ice here on the west coast but it’s cold. Last Night dropped to 29°. If you can handle the cold, the spotted bass are still active, 20-50 fish days, depending on how long you fish.
  19. No line tie worries for me. I switched from spinnerbaits to Underspins. They’re also easier to cast in the wind
  20. Close the browser AND your wallet go fishing. If you’re like most fishermen, there’s nothing you NEED.
  21. I use these. No glue needed. The worm won’t slide down. You’ll lose the head before the worm comes off
  22. If you haven’t already tried, an adjustable pedestal might work for you. Switch to a trolling motor that has a remote

A 6” spade tail worm on a dart head is killer for spotted bass
  24. You don’t need to use the fancy, expensive heads. My friends and I use the plain, everyday dart head. They can be poured with any size hook you want
  25. My friends and I fish this grub like a swim bait. We fish it on top all the way to dragging it on the bottom
