  1. If bank fishing with the fishing spots spread out and very few, I go slow. In the yak... You know what, I don't know what the heck I do! I do both depending on my mood I guess. One year I fished cranks all year from the banks, next year I started T-rigged plastics and I've kinda been there for a couple years. Now I have a yak, so we'll see what happens next season. Shrug, been bassin maybe 4 years so still figuring it out.
  2. I so wish I could fish like that here. I mean we do have the Delta, but Florida seems like bass heaven, and other species. And from what I've seen it doesn't cost $20 just to launch a kayak. "Launch" a kayak, sigh. Heck you have to pay to "launch" an inner tube here! Inspection, parking and launch fee.
  3. I'll add to the list "legal gun owners who do not secure their weapons properly", as most of the guns on the street are stolen from someone who had them legally at one point.
  4. Saw a UPS truck parked down the street from my house tonight. As I drove closer a Fed-Ex truck parked across the street from it. I laughed for a moment and thought of this thread, thinking it would be funny if they started fighting each other in the street. Random weird thought of the day.
  5. I dunno yet, I'm in Cali still. Hopefully someone can tell me I just visited Oregon but didn't really fish. next visit I will. I was in Salem and there are creeks and rivers everywhere, and unlike California they still have water in them.
  6. I've read hundreds of books but it's actually a critical thinking forum I have been involved with for 18 years that has had the biggest impact on me, more than anything else I can think of really. Ya that's a long time! I credit my Mother for having a great library of books for me to read too, though mostly fiction.
  7. Pfizer booster a month ago with no ill effects except a bit of a sore arm. Went fishing afterward. Gal at work told me 9 months ago that she "probably won't get a shot, I dunno" She went to the emergency room last week and had a rough go of it. This also forced any employees who had contact with her to miss work and get tested. Thankfully I work alone most o the time.
  8. DIY all the way, got a holder on each side ? This actually worked well the one day I did it. Deep pockets!
  9. Living the dream! Sounds awesome!
  10. Right on! I can't wait to start camping/fishing this season.
  11. Make sure you have room in that truck for more tackle! I remember the photos you posted
  12. I have very good lakes within 2-3 hours from me. Most places I've heard that have better bass are places I wouldn't want to live. May move to Oregon though to be closer to my family one day, and there's plenty of fishing there and an interesting variety as well. Don't really want to live there though either, or where I'm at now. Hmm seems I have a problem. Mexico sounds interesting. Can buy a house in Oregon though unlike here.
  13. Related to fishing - I was charged $8 when I reserved a launch spot at a local lake, Calero. I didn't realize that the money did not count as part of the launch fee. I refused to pay another $15 to launch my kayak so I went home and took the $8 loss. A month later I checked my debit card and noticed it was charged a second time. From my bank, after filing a claim: Thank you for your patience in the time required to review your claim. We have completed our investigation of this claim and determined that an error did occur. We have sent a letter by mail with the details of our investigation. Just thought I'd mention it. I always scan my account to see if there are any mysterious charges. Just checked my account and the charge was reversed. Getting ripped off on the original $8 "reservation fee" was bad enough, no way do they get more of my cash.
  14. How much are these? Can't find a price. I'm not liking the big framework.
  15. Can she throw all of her make up in to the lake then go buy all new because she lost it? Yes, because who'd stop her? She would also point out that she doesn't have a huge box of make up that she doesn't use but keeps for sentimental purposes. That's correct, they throw it in an old expensive purse they never use that doesn't match any of the out of date shoes she has stashed away, then buy all new stuff when we're not looking. People compliment her on the way she looks made up I look like a male model with no make up at all, especially when I'm happy, and look how happy I am with that fish, hon! Dang I'm hot! It's good to be divorced!
  16. One possible reason dogs bark: Delivery person approaches door. Small Chihuahua : "Yap yap yap yip YIP!!!!!" Deliver person delivers package and walks away. Small Chihuahua, thinking he scared person : "That's right, run away you $%&@#!" Monster created.
  17. Dude!!! Awesome stuff man! I'm inspired!
  18. I really really want a 1/4 mile driveway!
  19. I bought a 5' 6" light UglyStik Elite and put a small Pflueger Trion on it. Going to use it for creek fishing for trout, and whatever else. About $100 total.
  20. Actually the storage area that is in the PDL drive I showed above IS that hatch, pretty much, except the PDL one is narrower and flat. There is no room for an additional hatch between the seat and the drive, unless maybe I scoot the seat way farther back. There is a hatch behind my seat but I don't have a use for it really, except again, hull access. I only use the front hatch, and it holds a box with an extra prop ($10) and shear pins, essential tools, first aid, and a small soft cooler if I bring one. I didn't stand much in the Ride 115, and I suppose I'm usually standing with a foot on either side with the PDL 106 anyways. I could stand and put weight on the 106 one. It's right next to my desk now and it is really sturdy.
  21. I'd do it, and I'd travel several hours to do so. Count me in for whatever.
  22. Green pumpkin is my only must have.
  23. Ya I always cast two-handed as well, except pitching etc.
  24. My old Ride 115 has that hatch and, at least for me, it's in the way when standing. Probably break over time if I stepped on it, and it isn't flush with the floor. My new PDL 106 has a pocket on each side on the gunwale for small Plano boxes or loose pliers, scale etc. Actually the pedal drive itself has a nice dry storage box built in as well. I keep my phone and wallet in it and it will fit more. I can also strap another very small box on top of that if I want. My seat has a mesh area beneath me that I can store two 3600s in. The mesh keeps the boxes off the floor and dry, it's basically a mesh shelf under my butt. If that wasn't there I would think about making some kind of drawer, like Greg Blanchard uses. That would be better than the mesh thing really. Anyways, my milk crate will hold 4 or 5 3600s even with my battery box in there with them, and other stuff. I don't usually carry that many but sometimes I do, why not? They aren't heavy And with the 106 I can twist around or just stand up and kneel on the seat to reach the crate. My Ride 115 gets tippy even if I twist around wrong.
