  2. Welcome to BR
  3. I was in a crowded grocery store on a day that i had particulary bad gas. I was looking for a not crowded isle to walk to let it loose. Toilet paper isle as i remember. Well, i let it fly and it was a stinker. I continued shopping and went to the next isle over. A few second later, I heard a mom with kids approaching the fart cloud noxious area. One the little kids exclaimed "mommy, something stinks here".

    HaHa..good one
  5. The flyrod / ultralight action definately makes catching the small bass alot of fun. Hopefully some of these fish will mature into lunkers. I am wondering where all the quality bass are in the everglades. Maybe the water levels might need to drop a little bit more to get them off the flats. My son and I went to alligator alley where it intersects with the miami canal last friday, SE boat ramp. We had the same sucess. I caught 20 small bass on my first 20 casts (no bull). Most were 12-15". We probably combined for 100 bass in four hours time. I caught a 3 lb cichlid, and a few meaty warmouth. I threw the warmouth back but next time I go out, I might take a few home for the bbq.
  6. She reminds me of news anchor Rick Sanchez. Self absorbed, never gets to the point, and wanders like a drunk driver.
  7. Sorry I could not meet up with you guys today. Yea, the cold front probably put a damper on the bite today. The hydrilla is a real pain with the lower water, and especially when there is no wind (thick clouds of gnats). Were you able to cross the hydrilla and get into the sawgrass? You have to go across the hydrilla on plane and set down on the edge of the sawgrass cuts. The cuts lead back into the sawgrass for miles, and the water is usually clear and relatively free of weeds. The sawgrass breaks the wind somewhat as well. The water is generally 2-5 ft back there on the trails. If you go far, you better use a GPS to find your way back. You can find the cuts by looking for the worn boat trails cut through the hydrilla. If you what to give it another try at Lox, I can show you around.
  8. Nero is the fastest I have used.

Nice. Dont those cobia have to be like 33" long to be a keeper? I remember catching one on Fish City and it was 1/2" short. Before I had a chance to verify, the deck mate tossed him over the side. I would have won the TX. I thought the fix was on. I was ticked. Cobia are supposed to be good table fare.
  11. Were you on Lake Osbourne for the tourney? Sounds like you guys had a great time. Regarding the TM, on my minnkota, there is a small on/off switch under the head. I was fishing a TX last year and the mota stopped. I found out later in the day about the switch.
  12. Some of those big motor yachts going 35 MPH could almost launch a boat onto the intracoastal canal shore at high tide. Those fat cats will not back off the gas one bit.

I had my first occular migraine about 2 years ago. It was really weird. I was at work, working on the computer when it happened. Mine was not like vertigo where you lose balance, I had a headache and a lightning bolt flashing in my eyes that I could see even when my eyes were closed. Really freaky. I called my eye doctor and I arrived at his office 30 minutes later. While I was driving the flashing began moving off toward my periferal vision, then it was gone. The headache remained thought. The eye doctor diagnosed occular migraine. I used to not wear sunglasses that much, now I wear them all the time. I think bright sun triggers the attack. I have not had it happen since thankfully. If it does, at least I wont be in a panic like the first time.
  14. Whats with the swirls on the pictures?
  15. Wow. Nice toads. Which color minnow were you using?
  16. Nice catching Avid. Nice colors on the bass and that chug bug.I dont have that color yet. The local canals are yeilding the better bass lately. I went to a drainage pond next to a park off rock island rd in coral springs yesterday and caught 2 similiar sized fish and a bunch of smaller ones.
  17. You cant go wrong with Merc, Johnson/Evinrude. Go with a 2 stroke and get the largest HP recommended for the boat. For motors under 100 HP, I give the nod to Johnson/evinrude ETEC
  18. Good luck SF on saturday, hopefully the strong winds will die down by then. Set up your brother and father inlaw with weedless worms or frogs. they usually dont snag easily. Just tie them on without hooks I am still hoping to get out friday AM, if no one else is interested in Lox, I might head out to Holiday.
  19. Anyone up for fishing Lox this friday(4-3) morning? I am open to other suggestions for locations.
  20. I noticed that last week. I paid $30 for a box of .45 hollow points. Thats is all they had on the shelf at BPS in Ft Lauderdale. All of the other calibers were gone. I will definately check stores for ammo as I am out and about.
  21. Awesome idea. They did a nice job. Looks pretty fast! The noise definately needs a quieter muffler.
  22. You get real Velveeta Shells? Lucky dog! The store brand mac and cheese is nasty.
  23. I got 7 days PT available so let do some fishing. Kevin 954-600-9648
