Buff Recommendations
This is what I was concerned about. I could deal with long pants and long sleeves. I’ll probably get one just too see. If it’s comfortable, great!

Buff Recommendations
As the title suggests I'm looking for a buff that would be comfortable in really warm weather. I've seen everything from a couple bucks to 50.00. In the past I've avoided them and went the sunscreen route. I just couldn't see covering my head in 80-100 degree weather due to the comfort level. But if there are some out there that would be comfortable in the heat I'd give it a try. Any recommendations would be appreciated! Thanks

Soft plastics storage boxes
No for the most part if baits are in original packaging. For baits where the original packaging has gotten beat up I’ve transferred them to freezer ziplocks. Gotta keep an eye on those, they break down faster than the original. Use them first, or switch to a new ziplock. I cut up old file sleeves and label them as dividers.

Shallow Water Drop Shot ?
Yeah, really thinking about it the EWG would help the bait last longer. But I would guess that would depend on the bait used. Keitechs get pretty chewed up on a CPS.

Shallow Water Drop Shot ?
Do you always use a centering pin on your T-Rigs? If so, what are the benefits of doing so?

Owner Ultrahead
Thanks Tom! I was thinking something like the Zoom Speed Worm. Joe

Owner Ultrahead
Can these be used like a slider head to slowly drag/crawl a plastic bait across the bottom? Or even to swim a bait at various depths in the water column? I see from the description that they were designed as a solid head for pitching/flipping into cover and eliminating the need to peg the bullet weight. Thanks....Joe

Help break down new lake please
This point is a mirror image, for lack of a better term, from what is commonly called a point. I can still see that it would be a highway for bass to travel from deep to shallow and shallow to deep; and I assume that is why it is something to look for. Is there a name for this type of reverse point? And what time of year would be best to fish it?

Scent on hands
Not necessarily on topic, but I had a friend who smoked like a stack and would plant his own vegetable garden. He was always whining about the deer eating it as soon as it was planted. The answer is that deer love tobacco and would come to eat the butts that he threw on the ground.

Combining Round & EWG Trebles?
Recently watched Matt Allen's video on treble hooks for crank baits, jerk baits, & top waters; and when the conditions called for a round bend or an EWG on these baits. Fish slapping at a bait would call for a round bend, those that engulf the bait an EWG. Could you combine these two styles on one bait to get the most benefit for each condition? If so where which would go on the front/back?

Fluoro: improved clinch knot or palomar??
Uni Knot. Easier for me on the water.

Drop Shot hook setup?
That’s the one where the hook point comes out through the nose of the bait, right?

Fluoro Leader Length?
5-7 feet of flouro leader to braid. It gives me enough to re- tie on a trip. But I do tie on a new leader before each trip.

go-to replacement trebles
For most cranks and TW would the KVD 1X Strong 2X Short be a good choice?

SLX or Tatula CT
Resurrecting an old thread here to get a little more information and thoughts on the Fuego CT, Tatula CT and SLX. The only real difference I can determine between the Fuego and the Tatula is the TWS. Would having the TWS make a marked difference in performance? I like the idea of the Magforce-Z breaking system and that brings me to the Shimano SLX. The SLX has the traditional centrifugal brakes, but what about the SLX 150 XT that has the SVS braking. Would this be similar to the Magforce? Thanks

Gross Fishy Hands
I know people who will rub scent on their hands before handling baits.

Is my new line twisted, have bad memory, or bad?
I can see the logic. He also told me to run the line through all the guides, not just the first one. And to keep moderate pressure on the line when spooling. How about running warm to hot water over the spooled line for a couple minutes after loading?

You mean spooling a spinning reel in the same way as a bait caster but with the line coming off the filler spool from the bottom and not the top? I ask because I had someone tell me they did this and it reduced line twist.

Educating my thumb?
Reading the OP and the responses I started thinking about ways to accelerate the learning curve on educating the thumb without depending on the Cast Control knob, concentrating instead on the brakes with the Cast Control set to minimum when practicing at home. With times the way they are these days, there is plenty of time to pick out any mistakes. Would this approach work? I am well aware of the adage that accuracy is better than distance in most instances. But there are times when a backlash free cast falls short of the intended target, especially when not in control of the boats positioning.

3600/3700 cases help?
From a tip I saw on here somewhere. I used a glue gun to attach cut to fit pieces of shelf liner to the insides of my plano box lids. It has worked pretty well! Some stuff will catch on the liner at times, but if you tap the lid prior to opening it will help with that problem.

Home Storage for Rods/Reels
What I do is cut the lure off and have the end of the line level with the reel. Then I slide it in a rod sock and put it in the rod rack. No loop around the reel. The line is then ready to tie on a lure when setting up for the next time out. I believe this was what WRB was referring to.

Hook sharpening
I have a couple of old small sharpeners with a groove in them for us sight challenged old farts. Couldn't use flat or round ones even with cheaters on, unless sharpening a knife. They do in a pinch, but are not the greatest. Is there something out there in this type that would work well?
