Does the Tatula 100 have the Magforce-Z brake system, didn’t see it mentioned in the product description.

Thanks for the input! I really like my ol’ dinosaur Curados. It’s just that I’ve been away from new reels for so long it makes it difficult to pick a new one! I’ll look into it some more, maybe get one of each?!

I own 4 of the old Bantam 200B Curados and will definitely be keeping them! But I’m starting to think about getting a new reel or two, since I haven’t purchased a new reel in almost 20 years! And would like to try a different brand. No knock on Shimano, just want to try something else. Researching past posts I see that several of you carry both Daiwa and Shimano. I’m looking at the Tatula 100, but I’ve never had a reel with a magnetic brake system. Would there be a significant difference between that and a centrifugal brake? Also, all my current reels are 6.2:1. Being a backseat it can be difficult carrying ratios that are application specific. Would the 6.2:1 be a good all around ratio or should I step up to something higher? Any ideas would be appreciated! Joe

Looking to buy some for cleaning my gear. I’d like to get ones that are the same size as the one that comes in the Ardent Cleaning Kit. I’ve looked on Amazon, but most of the bulk items appear to thick. Would appreciate any ideas! Thanks....Joe

I bought a pair of Guide Wear years ago. Both bib and jacket insulated. I would barbecue in them even in cold weather! They were a quality product, but in hindsight I should have got the insulated bibs with a regular jacket. You can then layer under the jacket. Joe

With the Costas is there a significant difference between the blue mirror and green mirror when fishing? I ask because I would be using them for general all around use also. Joe

Thanks for the info Glenn! Unfortunately any Wiley X dealers around me are optometrists that deal with prescription lens only. I'll take the info in the video and use it to check out other brands. I'll check the Costas out some more. I did own a pair of Revos years ago in a blue mirror lens that I got at Sunglass Hut. Don't think that brand is around anymore. They were a good pair of sunglasses and lasted for years, until my wife sat on them?! Thanks for the ideas!

I've been looking to get a new pair of sunglasses for both fishing and would also use them for general use. I looked around and figured Costa 580G in green mirror would be my best bet. The price is steep, but after the initial shock I began thinking why not. I know a bunch of you have experience with the Costa's, but are there any of you that use the Eye Surrenders? Would appreciate any feed back! Joe

What factors besides water temps are involved in the fall transition? Is length of day a factor? Also, Glenn mentioned 50 degree water temps a lot in the video. Does it really have to drop that low? I realize that the transition would take place at different times around the country, especially in areas that cool down earlier. Out here in California some lakes still have water temps in the high 70s to low 80s. Will the transition occur here with temps higher than 50 degrees? Joe

I’ve noticed this smell on some old baits. Otherwise, they’re fine. Will they still be good if I use a scent on them?

Tried several times. The hook eye on the underspin keeps me from getting it to the first spiral on CPS. Had no trouble putting one on after I bent the one I was trying to get off.

This will be a really dumb question, but here it goes! I just bought several underspins and wanted to upgrade the size of the Owner CPS. I tried to remove the originals and couldn’t get the d**n things off! I could see how it would screw off, but the hook eye kept getting in the way. I didn’t want to force it a damage the original CPS. Any tips on how it should be done? Thanks....Joe

Sorry if I wasn't too clear. I was talking about spraying it on the line of a newly purchased spool before putting it on your reel.
