  1. I've caught Spots on Spooks over 40 - 90 FOW.
  2. GreenPig posted a topic in Fishing Reports
Fished from 5 to 11 this morning in a good 15 mph wind and hooked up with these girls over grass beds. 5 lber on a Super Fluke Glimmer Blue weightless & a 5.1 lber on a SK 300 Jerkbait in Oyster.
  3. Megabass S Crank 1.5 in GP Sexy Shad is my #1 producing Squarebill with exactly 6 fish on it. I throw it on a Zodias 6'10" Med Mod with Curado 70 Mgl spooled with 12 lb FC. If a spot calls for a Squarebill I can catch those same fish on a fluke, spinnerbait, or chatterbait. I own atleast a 100 SB's and it's just hasn't clicked for me. But my Monkey's happy.
  4. Feel bad. Nope. But I do tell them "A little help would be appreciated " or " You want to reel in the next one".
  5. The best way to want or need to use something is to get rid of it.? Not suggesting for you to get rid of your fishing gear. Nothing wrong with taking a break.
  6. I like Randy and subscribed to his channel for his great tips. Then unsubscribed after the constant content on why he against electronics and that's not beneficial to me. We all know he's a shallow water fisherman. He should just let Jonny handle the electronics content.
  7. Yeah mine aren't waterproof so I don't dunk them. But I wouldn't argue with Ol Roland.
  8. Sounds like you prefer mono so I'd bump up the strength which will have less stretch and still allow you other techniques.
  9. What is this "BACKLASH " y'all keep mentioning? I've never ........ .......... ........?
  10. Looks like your staff is working pretty good.
  11. I've done a near vertical 60 or 70' rope launch & load with a 12' jon. The loading part about killed me, pulling hand over hand. Only did it that one time.
  12. I fish 2 spinning & 3 casting Carbonlite 2.0 rods and have no complaints. Never went down the BPS reel path.
  13. Fluke or CC spoon. Curado 70 Mgl (7 & 8 speed) on a 7'2" MH Zodias with Seaguar Red Label 12 lb FC.
  14. Wow. Very nice. Thanks for the pics. That TP holder on the battery compartment lid is so much nicer than my ziplock bag.
  15. They're definitely great fighters. What kills me is hooking and fighting a 1 or 2 lb Spot and watching a 4 or 5 lb Spot darting around it.
  16. 20 & a PB. That's just showing off.? Were you hollering like Ike? Congratulations.
  17. I'd of thought I had a big Shoal bass.
  18. I dress as I want while NIGHT FISHIN in this heat.
  19. Broke rod with the window. Sounds like a 2 piece rod is what you needed to begin with. ?
  20. I do own the MH and works great with 10XD sized crankbaits but it's really maxed out at 4 oz swimbaits and struggle driving jig hook baits like Hudds.
  21. I also use the Lew's Super Duty Wide on up to 4 oz swimbaits.
  22. Faster rod, heavier line, and dunking your Hudd in boiling water a few seconds will soften it allowing it to compress better. Just don't dip the head.
  23. Heavy should fine. I fish 5 DXSB rods and really like them.
  24. I never allow a connection knot to enter my baitcasters guide and catch plenty of fish on lakes with 10' of visibility.
