I hate the weatherman
Temperature is really all I need from them and they're pretty accurate with temps. Weather shy of a tornado I'm going fishing.

New Texas rig invention?
Mustad and SK make quick hook attach T rig football heads and Outcast makes a quick hook attach wobble head. Reins makes a sliding FB head and VMC has a sliding Rugby head.

Half a dozen lures to start a jerkbait box?
I've got a couple 3700's full of all brands of JB's and my #1 producer is the Rapala Shadow Rap standard and deep. My LM & Spots really like the slow sinking Rapala. During our coldest month of winter the Vision 110 might edge it out but I'm spoon fishing at that point.

How Long Is Your Average Fishing Outing ??....
Me too. You've just got to learn to cast while standing, leaning, sitting, laying on your back and side(right or left). It's all about changing positions to alleviate my pain.

Almost Fell Out the Boat...
Careful. It's a seller's market.

Chug bug
I've got 4 or 5 and they catch fish. One has almost no paint left on it but has mojo.

why dont many people use casting spoons?
I catch 10 on jigging spoons to every one on a casting spoon. So I always fish a jigging spoon for vertical or casting and retrieving.

Thumbing the spool when setting the hook?
Nope. My drag will slip but that keeps me from breaking off or ripping the hooks out of the fish.

Trailer Not Perfectly Level
I gave in and bought a B & W hitch because I'm constantly towing different height/size trailers with different sized couplers. Yours looks fine to me.

Finding a secret spot. Do you have one?
One of my hunting clubs has a beaver pond that's a catch fish til you're tired kind of place. It's a 4 mile Side x Side ride then push 30 yards through thick weeds but it's worth it.

Reel Maintenance- Curado DC
I tear down and clean my own reels, but I was a jet engine mechanic. It's not that difficult. Here's the trick, if you have three friends or family members that fish. Offer one at a time to tear down and clean their reels. After successfully doing it or the worst case sending them back a box of parts. Then you'll know if you should tear into yours.?

Got my first baitcaster(s) - help me optimize
I'd swap the 30 lb braid from the spinning reel to the SLX combo and go with 10 - 15 braid(I fish 10 lb) on the spinning reel. Spool the SLX DC/Fenwick with 10 lb FC for cranking. Lure wise, you can fish whatever your rod will handle. With your BC start with them pretty tight and slowly loosen them up(little steps) as you get comfortable casting them.

Megastrike
I apply it to any bait that doesn't have trebles just proir to fishing. It's the most effective scent I've used.

3/16oz vs 1/4oz is there a difference?
I'm only serious about 3 things and fishing is one of them. No I don't dip the feet. Come on, it was a joke. But I do put a 4, 5, or 6 lb on both sides of my plastics with my dye pen so the correct size bass will hit it.
-
3/16oz vs 1/4oz is there a difference?
Yes there's a difference. Details no matter how minuscule and sometimes make all the difference. Sometimes you only need to dip the feet of your lizard and not the tail, sometimes both, and sometimes the head too.

Leaving in 20 minutes, 40 minute drive to fish from 2am to 10 am. On the way there my attention is focused on avoiding the potholes in our wonderful roads so I can keep the axle under the trailer and the wheels round.
