  1. Yes with bottom baits and spoons. I allow the line to lay on top of my index finger. I fish a good bit at night so line watching ain't happening.
  2. Super Fluke 130 Whopper Plopper 6" Bull Shad or Bull Herring
  3. Excellent gift and congratulations on snagging a fishing woman.
  4. Fished my hunting club beaver pond Saturday with an old man I found walking along the road. I've never fished it in the late Summer/ early Fall and now I know I'll wait til late Fall from now on. It took me 25 minutes of difficult pushing to get from the bank to open water(20 yards of 4' tall weeds). The average depth is roughly 40 inches and the weeds have taken over in the heat and are now dying off. Seventy five percent of the surface is covered with dying weeds, the water color was off, and I'm sure the oxygen level was low. We managed 11 LM which I considered great with the conditions we faced. I tried unsuccessfully to force a frog bite which is normally great. The only thing that'd entice a hit was a single colorado blade Spinnerbait. Overall a great morning. I did get the old man back to his family.
  5. Strike King Micro Pong Magic 1/8 in Red Ant should do it.
  6. My baitcast jerkbait rig is a Curado 70 MGL K HG on a Zodias 6'10" Med Fast spooled with 10 lb FC and is the best I've used for the task so far. The reel holds 110 yards of 10 lb line which just happens to be over double the distance I can throw a standard jerkbait on a good day.
  7. Just like that Menderchuck fishin fella I leave it plugged 100% of the time it's off the water. It's been charging these 3 Group 31's for 3 years problem free.
  8. Megabass Hazedong & Spark shad
  9. The penalty is 3 NIB Vision 110's. I'll PM you the address. You'll feel better after.?
  10. Excellent.
  11. 3" BPS Sticko weightless on a 1/0 EWG Gamakatsu and I'll make short pitches with a Ned 1/10 TRD or 1/16 Missile Bait Micro jig/Zoom Trickworm tail trailer.
  12. The Case and Tackle HD catch them also but the durability of the Nikko is nice.
  13. Damiki Slim Jack 8" - 16" and produces
  14. I like the Nikko Hellgrammite it'll stay the hook all day and I've caught over 50 Spots on a single bait.
  15. Windy and a water temp under 82 and over 40 and it'll be a good day. I will catch fish at some point, they might not be big but I'll find a few.
  16. Sorry. I get some every day.
  17. I really look forward to Fall every year as our Summers are just like a Evil Hateful Suana. I get to finally wash and put up my neon green fishing thong and put some real clothes on which makes everybody around here happier.? Once I get thru September it's amazing fishing til the Suana returns. Bring on the freezing guides, coveralls, cold water, cold wind, jigs, jerkbaits, and spoons.
  18. Very nice. From my location to East Tennessee is 300 miles. Two trips a week for the month of September sounds like what I need to do. ? I do seriously need to catch my first Smallmouth.
  19. I just spent a bit of time looking through my pics of every LM & Spot I've caught in the last 7 years. I fish year round and September here in Georgia, year after year has been my least productive month for numbers and size. It's been almost impossible to figure out any consistent pattern and the fish seem to be spread all over the lake. How does everybody adjust for the late Summer to early Fall transition?
  20. Her priorities are askew.?
  21. Tweak/bend the blade arm just a little bit one way or the other to get them to run true. A fast 7 or 8 speed reel should quickly get a buzz on top.
  22. I've got a 6'6" Heavy & 7' Cranking around here somewhere from the mid 90's
  23. I've been extremely happy with my Curado 70 MGL K so I'd likely add a 4th one.
  24. Haven't fished them in years but I used catch vast numbers of Hybrids fishing docks at night.
