  1. Little people I hope. 325 lb capacity isn't much to work with.
  2. My go to Shaky Heads are the Buckeye Spot Remover Pro, Magnum, and Wide Gap and haven't had a hook problem yet. I own 3 -4 other brands but lean to the Buckeyes most days that I'm able to pickup locally because I find myself donating them to the lake bottom often.
  3. 70% of my 60 something reels are 100 - $200 older Abu's and Shimano's and I haven't managed to wear out any fishing them 1 - 5 times a week. Many are over 10 years old and working fine with an annual deep clean/service and a few drops on the bearings occasionally. I do have some Daiwa's and few Lew's in that price range but haven't been in rotation as long so we'll see, but I'm sure they'll last also. I've polished and swapped some bearings not out of necessity but just to experiment.
  4. Nice fish. Don't know if it's 8 but it'll definitely make two meals if prepared with fries, hush puppy's, and coleslaw.?
  5. Just waited 23 days on an in stock rod & reel. We've clearly been overworking them at TW. I'm gonna give them a 6 month break from me.
  6. I typically just fish a little heavier bait(3/4 vs 1/2 lipless or 3/16 vs 1/8 shaky head). Wind is the very reason I put an 80 lb Terrova on my 1448 Jon boat. Now I enjoy fishing in wind no matter the speed. Running in the bigger waves with the outboard is a special problem with a light flat bottom.
  7. 8 & 10 lb main line for my spinning rigs. Braid over 10 lb, I'll be using a baitcaster.
  8. My most consistent color is Junebug. Green Pumpkin Goby has been making a run for the title.
  9. A low profile Abu 31 years ago that I literally wore out. I cast it so much the pin running through the thumb bar snapped and I replaced it with a nail.
  10. A leaping teaser? ? I married mine. She was a gymnast. Now she just teases me.
  11. Most of my bigger LM make a good first run and another short burst or two. It's the 2 - 6 lb LM that don't know when to give up. Our Spots are crazy mean no matter their size and they're gonna fight hard until you get that head out of the water.
  12. When there's room in the freezer I'll fill it with sub 3 lb LM or any size Spots.
  13. I fish it on 20 lb P-Line CXX. I think the stretch helps slow my reaction time(in the silence of the night)and helps to keep them hooked.
  14. A 7'2" Med Hvy with a buzzbait will cast a very nice new Ultralight combo a fair piece and spring fed ponds are cold 20' down even in the summer.
  15. Nice. But you've still got some time to upgrade that one. I'll reward myself with a fishing trip for putting the right shoe on the right foot, taking out the trash, getting the mail, walking the dog, waving to a neighbor, cutting a light off as I exit a room, not missing an eye on a rod when respooling, etc.?
  16. Great job. I'd reward myself with a fishing trip.
  17. Shimano Zodias Med Hvy Fast 3/8 - 1oz for $209. Fishes like a Med Hvy Plus and is sensitive in my hands.
  18. Cigarette 59 Tiranna with 6 450R's. Trolling motor isn't an option so don't waste your time contacting them.
  19. There's always shallow fish to be caught and at times it's the place to fish. But the bulk of fishermen target shallow fish in my lakes so I usually fish deeper. I use my 360 Imaging to fish shallow cover to 20'. Deeper than that it's Down & Side Imaging.
  20. Weightless Zoom Fluke Jr. in White, Green Pumpkin, or Watermelon Candy scented with MegaStrike on a Gamakatsu 2/0 EWG on 8 lb FC. Never seen a pond it wouldn't work in that have bass in it.
  21. I also have the 7' Hvy Fast, they're both light and perform great for the $.
  22. I paired a Tatula 100H with a Daiwa Procyon 7'3" Med Hvy Fast.
  23. A Curado BFS & Dobyns UL rod will take a ride in my boat in time.
  24. Does it have a carry handle?
