Tips for driving
A-Jay’s #5 is a whole different can of worms. When I was in the boat business and had first time boat owners a part of my delivery was to take them out back to our private pond where we tested repairs. I showed them how to launch and load their boat as well as discussed ramp and parking lot etiquette. Then I would have them practice until they were comfortable.

Tips for driving
Having a good console gps with the map screen up can show you depth contours and the channel is imperative if you are in an unfamiliar area. Buying a good map and studying it before you go to the lake can also help you prepare for how and where you are going to run your boat. Experience and knowledge cant be beat though.

Something isn’t right. Have you checked the P2P. I had that same motor on a Champion 206. It ran 65 mph at 5400 rpms.

Float n Fly
A tear shaped bobber is best because it will stand up and let you know a fish is there before it takes the bobber down. I’ve had no kuck with any jigs other than craft hair.

The Computer Age
Geewhiz guys what is all of this talk about age and computers. I doubt any of you are close to my age. I was stuck in a no end job when Apple came out with the IIE. I spent a few months pay check and bought one along with a dot matrix printer. I taught myself how to program in basic because there really wasn’t any thing else. I spent countless hours learning data base and spreadsheets. It got to the point where local companies were contacting me for assistance. I turned my knowledge into my dream job. Since then I have retired from two other professions. All I do now is fish in a Nitro Z20 with a 250 four stroke Mercury equipped with 3 Humminbird Etherneted Solix units, and a Minn Kota Ipilot linked blue tooth Ulterra trolling motor, along with an asgps heading sensor and next week I will have a Mega live transducer installed. So don’t talk old and out of touch as it is a personal preference.

Bucktail Storage Tips
That will work just fine. I have done that when using a bunch in the same size and wanting them handy.

Bucktail Storage Tips
I haven’t counted them but I am guessing that I have several hundred in the boat.

Bucktail Storage Tips
This works for me. I get the bags at Hobby Lobby and staple them to poster board strips. I keep those in tackle binders by weight categories.

Private Lakes - DNR Stocked - Fishing Rights
I contacted our Missouri Conservation Department about stocking fish in some of our ponds. They said if they did then I would have to let the public fish them. But it wasn’t just one day per year it was whenever someone wanted to.

Looking at a used boat
Stopping is probably more of a concern than towing. My wife towed my 20 Champion all over even to south Texas and back with a Ford Windstar minivan. She had no problem and the trailer had brakes so stopping was not an issue.

Storing line, lures, plastics long term
Bands rot. Copper floral wire doesn’t and is easy to use.

The New Tech
I feel that live view is just another step in the technology of the sport. I am a Humminbird guy so I have been wanting the Mega Live and waiting for over a year. I now have one and it will be installed later this month. I’m really looking forward to seeing what I can get from it. I probably don’t have as much time left in a boat as you do and so I am trying to make as much as possible with the time I have left.

Air Brush Soft Plastics ?
I’ve read about it on a well known tackle building site that is owned by Lure Parts Online that I can not post on here. You can go to their site to the bottom of the page forth column to the right second line down.

Buying first boat
Does the Skeeter have power poles or talons? It makes a difference functionally. What gps/sonar units do each have. What trolling motors are on each? What batteries are in each and how many?

Help...advice needed on setup!
Why are you wanting a Garmin live scope instead of the Humminbird Mega live which can be Ethernet linked to other Humminbird units?

Help...advice needed on setup!
I have 3 Solix units 10, 10, and 12. I had a 360 but sold it. My Ulterra didn’t function well with the weight. I have a Mega live and a mount which arrived this afternoon. I have been waiting on Mega live for over a year. I watched a guy last week going down a bluff and not casting until he saw a bass. It looked efficient to me. I don’t want anything smaller than a 10 and would prefer 12 and 15 if I had the room.
