  1. I don’t throw big swim baits but I do Arigs. I use three baits and several blades. I’ve tried a few reels and have settled on 5-1 ratios. The faster gears are harder to to crank and wear me slick in a few hours. The rods that I have are 7-7.5’ with lots of backbone.
  2. Suckers cause there’s one born every minute!
  3. We are allowed 3 hooks. I make my own as well as the baits. I use 1/16 or 1/8 oz head with 4/0 hooks. 4 inch swimbaits or 5 in flukes are my go to plastics.
  4. For me it was to clear the drive so I could get the boat out. That was before I got my snow blower.
  5. It was on my lake on one of my spots in my boat fishing my technique and I was in the front. It happened on two consecutive trips. I may not be the sharpest knife in the drawer but the third trip things changed as I was then equipped with fluorocarbon. That’s proof enough for me.
  6. The first time I fished against fluorocarbon with mono it was 7 to 0 not in my favor. I now have fluorocarbon on 16 setups and mono on 2.
  7. 67 mph with a 400 would not be wide open. A properly setup 250 would do that or close.
  8. Please post a pic before you move anything.
  9. I crank with a 7 or 8 depending on the bait.
  10. I prefer the faster reels so I can quickly take up any slack and get the rod in position after hook sets and getting the bait back quicker when done with a retrieve. I only have one 6 left and it is a loaner with an Arig.
  11. I don’t know why you guys have your panties in a wad. Anyone who gets $600 or more from me gets a 1099. That’s how I do business.
  12. Elaztech worms for me in what ever color they make.
  13. Elaztech worms rigged shaky. 6 in 2 hours in 47° water today.
  14. I know you said white. I just saw some black ones offered on another site.
  15. You might also touch base with the state. MO wanted me to collect sales tax for any individual sales.
  16. I use 7 1/2 foot rods. I drag with the rod tip from 9-12.
  17. For me it is longevity. Round rubber lasts for years rolled up. Flat rubber sticks together and ruins. Fishing I see no difference.
  18. I have a padded metal case for that purpose that I bought at Harbor Freight.
  19. What I look for is Shimano in the type and size that I want.
  20. I’ve tried several but keep going back to brown, though I haven’t made that decision on Mega Live yet.
  21. Of those all I have are Stradics. If I were buying more it would be Stradics.
  22. Go for it.
  23. Yes they do. I don’t tie without it.
  24. I’ve tied a lot of them. I used to make 90 dozen a year for one guy. I never try to put the full amount on at once. I put some on. Do a couple of wraps, put more on do a couple of wraps until I get it the way I want it to look.
  25. It isn’t shrink wrap it is shrink tubing. Lately I have been buying it from Mud Hole rod building and tackle crafting. I get the CRB Flocked. The best gripping is the black and red but they all are pretty good. You have to measure your rod handle then decide what will work best. Most of my rods need the 40mm.
