  1. You might call Clear Cast Marine in Springfield MO and see it the might have the part.
  2. Could be any number of reasons for the wetness. Take it to an auto parts store and get it checked.
  3. I buy my hooks by the 1000 count from Shorty’s. Mustad quality control = mfg in China.
  4. I don’t remember ordering from them but they did get my email addy. I got so many annoying emails from them that I finally blocked them.
  5. I’ve been waiting for you or Ted to respond because you two know your stuff about hooks.
  6. Mustad quality went down as Eagle Claw quality came up. I switched a few years ago an am happy.
  7. Line to bait no matter what line….Pitzen. It is fast, strong, and easy and I can tie it with gloves on.
  8. Thinner wouldn’t hurt. I was fishing with a guy who was whacking fish. His jig looked like it had nothing on it I went back took his jig and counted. There were 7 hairs left on the thing. BTW the painting looks good.
  9. I’d try what is on hand before I bought something else.
  10. It’s more all of the fat from the gravy, dressing, buttered rolls the other greasy stuff than just the bird. That is why I request guajolote a mole poblano instead of the traditional. However, the chef says we are having 6 boy curry instead.
  11. I only do shaky on 2 custom 7.5’ rods with Curado X70 reels. I use 12# fluorocarbon line on both. My neighbor uses lighter line and has a lot more break offs than I do.
  12. When you hurt so bad you can’t fish 2 days in a row. (True)
  13. I have never experienced anything like that, but I have never owned a Pfluger reel. I have 20 some Shimano spinning reels. Some of them are real high mileage and over 20 years old. You might want to switch brands.
  14. You might spray some silicone or wd40 on the pole and let it soak down into the pcs to help loosen it.
  15. I’ve probably read thousands of books. As a double major in history and sociology in college I had to read at least 1000 pages for every credit hour. Today I read from 2 to 4 books every week. The only book that has had any permanent impact on me is the King James version of the bible.
  16. Corporate America is a mystery. There was a great double bladed buzz bait that got sucked up in a Rapala buyout. It is now as extinct as a dinosaur.
  17. If you want premade jig heads you might start with guys on this site like cadman, smalljaw, munkin, or seibert. For hooks if I want less than 1000 I order from Captain Hooks. If I need at least 1000 of something I order from Shorty’s Hook Sales. Skirt material I get from fishing skirts or living rubber.
  18. Me too. When our Lew’s store closed I bought out their entire stock of Elaztech worms. There were about a dozen watermelon candy packs that I found when I was sorting them. I wondered if anything would bite them. They do.
  19. You could call Humminbird tech support and ask them.
  20. You will need to have a Humminbird unit which can display the mega image so you can connect the sonar cable to it.
  21. Something went wrong. I was copying a link but it didn’t work.
  22. I normally travel less than 100 miles to a lake so I don’t figure my spare needs to be as good as the others so I don’t replace it as often.
  23. People who are full time rvrs or do serious camping never let tires, no matter the wear or amount of sunlight, be more than 6 years old. I’ve replaced 5th wheeler tires that had less than 5000 miles on them before the were 7 years old. In the scheme of things trailer tires are about the cheapest items on a boat rig.
  24. Good luck. I hope you catch a bunch. I’m not familiar with your lake. If it has clear water you will catch more on 6# fluorocarbon whether you go straight or as a leader.
