I’m not sure if it is the same one but a friend of mine invented one, got a patent then sold it to Johnny Morris.

Battery issue
Your reading at 12.3 volts is probably correct. They are about 50 % discharged and that is not good. You didn’t state the size of the batteries. With today’s electronics you need really good strong batteries. I had lots of trouble keeping my cranking battery up running Lowrance HDS Gen 3 units. I had to jump start if I stayed on a bank more than an hour. They would completely kill the cranking battery in a year. My solution was a Batteries + bulbs X2 1150 cca 225 rc agm cranking battery.

Sway Bar?
I’ve used them on heavy bumper pull campers but never heard of them on a bass boat. A little more info is needed here like the size of the boat and trailer as well as the tow vehicle.

Woke up 4:00 am and checked weather…..rain
It was 39° here and I made baits for tomorrow, sunny south wind at 10 mph temps 47-74. I think I can handle that.

Jig head combos for salt water ?
This isn’t salt water, just a lake. Right now a green pumpkin 1/2 oz football jig with a spring craw trailer has been best.

Forward scanning sonar for bass fishing
I am impatiently waiting for Humminbird to get the kinks worked out and get Mega Live on the market. As soon as I can I will put one on my boat. Besides I really like bells and whistles on my boat and truck.

Lightest Line for Use With Baitcasters.
I have one BC setup designated for Ned rigs. It is spooled with Yozuri hybrid #6 line. Before I switched to Yozuri I used Seaguar Red fluorocarbon line in 6#. This is the third or fourth year for this setup. I have never had it “dig into” itself.

Shoot Thru Transducer placement
Since you have tried and had trouble, I suggest that you select a place and weight it down with a sand bag then take it to the lake. You can move it around until you get it right.

I'm Gettin To Dang Old for this Stuff
Nope I don’t and haven’t for a very long time. I tend to break stuff and wind up with even more problems. I am one of the reasons why God made mechanics.

Kayak Fishing Missouri
There are lots of places for that kind of trip. The lower end of Stockton has a ramp at Crabtree Cove on the east side and one on the west side at the Stockton Public Use area. Both places have lots of fishing possibilities and you can stay in protected coves. Since you are new to this, I want to caution you about getting out in open water where boats are running fast. You are hard to see. They can be on you in a matter of seconds. There are dozens of other places you can go. Some good maps and planning can help ypu have a good trip. Good luck and have fun.

Kayak Fishing Missouri
Are you wanting to do a river float or just put in and do some fishing?

White bass
Mother Nature takes care of them every once in a while around here. We go from abundance to near none. For some reason they die off by the hundreds of thousands all over a lake. No biologists have given a reason. I doubt that they even have concerns since they generate very little revenue unlike black bass which is mega millions here.

GARMIN
Those screen protectors also make cleaning easier. You don’t have to take special care. I just wipe with a damp cloth and dry with a towel as I clean the boat cap.

Crayfish trap tips?
First make sure you follow your state regulations. I used to do it a lot. I wire tied pieces of hog bacon to the inside of the traps. We pulled them every 15 minutes all night long. We got some monsters. We kept a fire going, cooked and ate them as we caught them.
