  1. Depends on what you want. You might want to check Janns, Barlows, Lure Craft, Do It just to name a few. I make all of my open pour molds.

    X2
  3. Lots of fly tying shops are set up to replace them if you have one in your area.
  4. I didn’t read where you described just what you do when you get a bite. Can you explain from bite to hook set where the rod tip is and what you do?
  5. Sometimes match sometimes not. One of the best summer full moon combinations I have had is a red jig with a white trailer.
  6. That’s a different color horse. In thr 90s OMC outsourced a lot of parts to overseas (China) I think. They had lots of problems. Genmar then bought them out and tried to resurrect them. After them came Bombardier, a branch of the Leir Jet people. I spent 2 days in a district meeting with them and they wouldn’t even entertain ideas from the midwest. They marched to their own drummer. I wasn’t surprised when they pulled the plug and decided to play another game. I’m surprised they didn’t do it sooner.
  7. I got my butt handed to me from the back of the boat two times in a row, me mono the guy in the back fluorocarbon. Now all of my setups except Arig are fluorocarbon.
  8. Do you know that they are compatible with different sonar units?
  9. I’ve never seen an R wire spinnerbait that wouldn’t bend out unless it is modified. I use War Eagle or make my own. I wrap the R loop with braided line or floral wire. Then I cover it with heat shrink tubing. They bend, but not badly. I haven’t had a broken wire in years. The top one is homemade. The bottom one is War Eagle.
  10. Redundant I guess. For example, yesterday I had 2 jig setups, 2 shaky, and 3 Neds on the deck along with 1 spinner bait on the deck. It was a bit crowded.
  11. Today it was Elaztech worms rigged shaky. We caught 23 this morning. However, we only managed 4 keepers.
  12. Nope but I got you covered. I’m going twice a week and will pick it up to three days as soon as it cools down a little.
  13. We have a big jig off shore bite going on. I’ve been using 1/2 and 1 oz jigs with craw trailers 25-35’ deep.
  14. I have it on several spinning reels. It does ok as long as I use 10# and less. KVD conditioner helps.
  15. There is starting to be a big jig (1oz) bite on gravel points and flats. It varies. Sometimes the boat needs to be in 40’ with the fish in 25-30. Sometimes they are shallower. There’s also been a top water bite. Two guides: Pete Wenners and Eric Prey have weekly reports.

It was the conversation with Allen that got me to thinking about it. You know what Table Rock is like. Even with a weedguard I still lose several. Which ones have you used?

A while back there was a discussion about this. Have any of you guys who have used them have a report on how snag free they are?
  18. Tom I think that was Glenn Lau wasn’t it? Larew was Gene and owned the Shadrack Resort at Cape Fair on Table Rock lake.
  19. It may be reaction time. I read a study once where reaction time was discussed. It stated that a human’s reaction time is 3/4 of a second while a bass’s is 1/25 of a second. If this is the case it is a wonder we ever catch one.
  20. If it is the same brand it might have the same footprint. You can call the mfg tech support and as them.
  21. I fish a lot of windy days here in MO. My 45” shaft came out of the water a lot fishing into the wind. I went with longer this time and it stays down.
  22. I would buy myself another Curado 150 DC. I really like those that I have.

  24. I’m guessing newer technology.
