Need more battery power for TM
What do you mean by reserve power? I’ve never heard of that.

Need more battery power for TM
You need more reserve capacity. If you have room a 31 series normally has the highest RC.

What specific baits do you have tied on at all times? In other words, what bait specific rods do you have?
5 Ned rigs, 2 shaky, 2 spinnerbaits, 1 swimbait, 2 tubes, 2 sliders, a jigging spoon and 2 Arigs most all of the time.

Favorite cheap hooks
Eagle claw hooks have come up in the world in the last few years with changes they have made. I’ve switched to them over Mustad.

Power fishing vs Finesse fishing
I start nearly every trip power fishing. I give it several places with several baits. After about an hour I pull out the jig, shaky and Ned. I’m there to catch fish by what ever method it takes. Lately Ned is all that I can get them to bite.

Alabama Rig / A-Rigs in Summer
Not to mention too much tired at the end of the day.

Alabama Rig / A-Rigs in Summer
I have one tied on all of the time, however, from May to fall I have not been able to get anything to bite them. I have wondered if my baits were too large but haven’t tried smaller ones.

Tubes
Have you tried heads with weedguard? The lakes around here are very rocky. I was buying my tubes by the 100 count as I was losing so many. I decided to modify my tube jig head mold to accommodate a weedguard. I now use 90# surflon coated leader as my weedguard molded into the head. I don’t lose a fraction of the tubes that I used to.

Powder Paint Question
Just know that cadman may be the best powder paint multi color artist in North America. Everything he posted is an absolute except he sees it as a lot easier than the rest of us.

Powder Paint Question
It looks painted to me but if you think it isn’t then you could coat it with Devcon epoxy or you might just use clear Hard as Nails fingernail polish. They even have it with glitter. I sometimes coat spinner bait heads with it.

Ingenious idea for pest control.
It would surprise me if they weren’t all dead. I sucked up a bunch of ants once and all were dead inside the vac.

Ned rig with weed guard
I’ve never seen a Ned head with a weed guard that would cause a problem with a hook set.

Smallies in 8' deep or less very clear water.
I find a lot of smallmouth in shallow clear water. I have my best results with a Zman TRD on a 1/16 oz head using 6# fluorocarbon line.

Line conditioner users
Thanks for the replies from those of you who use it. Also thanks for the extra application tips. I think I will put some on my Yozuri and see how I like. I will also give some fluorocarbon a shot.

Line conditioner users
Do you use on fluorocarbon line? If so how often? I have only used it on braid to make it quieter.

Pfd’s and comfort
I use the Mustang that has a single strap down the back and one around your waist. A friend who works for the COE said that is what the government provides for them. Mine is the least cumbersome and least bothersome pfd that I have ever had and I have had a lot over the years.

Thanks roadwarrior…
Nope. I make my own and buy hooks by the 1000 count.

Thanks roadwarrior…
I got to try the Yozuri hybrid line today, Midwest finesse heads with TRDs fishing Ned style. I fished the water that cost me 12-15 heads Tuesday. I was hung up a bunch and got all but one back. The one that didn’t come back didn’t break off, the 1/0 Gammy hook broke. That sure does seem to be a very strong line. Thanks again for the recommendation.

I'm done using a palomar with fluoro
The Pitzen is my choice. It is easier than the SJam and just as strong. I use it on all line types and sizes.
