  1. I have 30 minutes, 1 hour & 15 minutes, 1 hour and 45 minutes. I do the first 2 most of the time because they are larger. But I’m getting ready for the fall bite farther away.
  2. If you have the tools and skill, you can drill both sides of the break and epoxy a pin in it to give it more strength.
  3. I’ve heard that and for a while did it even between trips but I quit. I have somewhere around 20 setups in the boat and its just too much of a bother to do it plus forgetting about it, making a cast, getting a strike and trying to set the hook.
  4. I don’t know what third would be. The top two are ZEROS and TRDs.
  5. Lots of food for thought here. I’m going back on Monday. I have 5 setups rigged differently and a neighbor for the back seat. Maybe I’ll learn something then. Thanks for the ideas.
  6. It is possible. I can’t tell on a moving bait like I can most of the time on a worm.
  7. Either crepuscular period can be very good. However, around here from mid June to mid October you might sweat to death before it cools down in the evening.
  8. I’ve been all around braid, leader, no leader, mono, fluorocarbon until I finally went to fluorocarbon for most of my fishing. I only use braid for Arigs and winter vertical jigging.
  9. I did all 3 of those things. Do you think a trailer that has action like a twin tail grub or swimming chunk would provoke a more aggressive reaction.
  10. Tuesday I decided they would eat a spinnerbait or go hungry. I caught a few some quality some small. Then they started short striking. I thought maybe they were hitting the blades so I pulled out a bladed jig. I still got short hits. They were in very shallow water of maybe a foot or two. Changing colors and even foregoing the trailer didn’t work. This is off color water with about 2’ of visibility. Bleeding shiner has been my go to color. I’m going back next week and can’t decide what kind of trailers to make. Any suggestions?
  11. I hate cold so I layer up. I normally run 3-7 miles from the launch and prefer to be warm when I get there. I wear a long sleeved fishing shirt with a hoodie over it. On top of that I want a nylon windbreaker with a hood. I can peel all day if I need to. BTW: When it gets cold I pull out my down bibs which I got from Duluth Trading Co. They are super warm.
  12. Where I live green is a universal language so I always have several Franklins in my wallet in case I see something I want or need.
  13. That temp would have me thinking Arig or crank baits.
  14. I’ve owned Nitro, Champion, and Ranger. They all floated and fished fine. I have no experience with other brands. My choice of those three in an older boat would be a Champion 196 or 206 elite.
  15. I give them to high school fishing teams.
  16. If you don’t have one, get a fish tape. https://www.harborfreight.com/50-ft-fish-tape-38156.html?utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=12169054043&campaignid=12169054043&utm_content=125548902708&adsetid=125548902708&product=38156&store=93&gclid=EAIaIQobChMItr2NlIGa8wIVURh9Ch15VgvpEAQYASABEgJXLPD_BwE
  17. I use an excel spreadsheet. I’ve been using it for a long time.
  18. I find a rural high school team with kids who need stuff and donate it to them.
  19. I had a Gloomis come looking worse than that. I’ve been using it for several years now.
  20. You can try my local shop. They have various parts lying around. If they don’t, they may lead you to a source. All it will take is a call. Marine Repair Center Springfield, MO 417-833-9191 ask for Scott.
  21. Carpal tunnel syndrome caused me to only be able to fish for about 20 minutes without changing hands. I couldn’t do it with bait casting setups so I did it with spinning and only had to change the handle.
  22. There is a Shimano buy sell trade section on Face Book you might find one there.
  23. Don’t you have a title for the motor?
