Fishing the bushes
Sadly I don’t flip anymore. T rigged worms and swim jigs have given me my best green fish high water days. Some of the posts have listed baits that I had not thought about. More than likely I’ll be in the Big Sac arm midway to the dam. It will be Thursday before I can get a decent wind without gusts to thirty.

Looking for advice for my boat
For me it would depend on the condition of liquid assets and if or not the current boat is paid off.

Best Braid Scissors?
I use them for everything. I’m on my second pair in 20 years as the first pair blew out of the boat.

Fishing the bushes
Thanks. Your suggestion sent me to the bait cabinet for rage craws and zoom speed craws. I hadn’t thought of them. Everything else mentioned I have in the boat.

Fishing the bushes
At least 2 setups are jig rigged 24/7. The name isn’t a secret. It is Stockton lake.

Fishing the bushes
My favorite lake is 24,900 acres at power pool with 298 miles of shoreline. About 200 miles has button bushes and some buck brush just outside the normal water line. It is a rocky ledgy highland reservoir. I’ve had some issues which have kept me form being there often and I have lost the fish. We go to go last week and caught 25 bass with only one keeper. With above average rain the lake keeps rising and now is up in the bushes at 8 feet above pool. I’m not a flipper or a pitcher. I’m going to hit it Tuesday morning. I have tied on; spinner bait, buzz bait, frog, T rigged worms both weighted and weightless and some Ned rigs. What am I overlooking for in the brush.

Keel Guard Question
I’ve used Keel Shield and Keel Guard. Both work just fine.

The brand and model of boat you have will make a difference. Llebroc has made seats for me.

Finesse Open Thread...
We caught 26 today. If you weren’t throwing a Ned with a green pumpkin TRD you were wasting your time. We also used swim baits, shaky heads, jigs and weightless worms for nothing.

MotorMate Outboard Motor Locking System vs Adjustable Head Transom Saver
I have not used the Motor Mate but have used several similar devices. I’ve also used the trailer to motor type. I don’t like the trailer to motor for 2 reasons: it is a pain to use and it can wear the paint on the lower unit. For the last 10 years I have been using Wedges. I like them better than any thing else that I have used. https://www.amazon.com/s/?ie=UTF8&keywords=m-y+wedge+motor+support&index=aps&tag=googhydr-20&ref=pd_sl_5nyf61nldy_e&adgrpid=189236662511&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvadid=792695415307&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=7462490480310300561&hvqmt=e&hvdev=t&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=1020569&hvtargid=kwd-302097903322&hydadcr=20443_13674370_2424738&mcid=752e0dbc830732e8bcdefd9b23ad62d9&hvocijid=7462490480310300561--&hvexpln=0

Worn out buzzbait rivets?
I’ve done it both ways. Sometimes the wire breaks and puts it in forced retirement. I’ve actually worn out more blades than rivets.

Senko Rod/Reel Light Weight Shaky Head Rig
I have rods specifically built for your application. They are 7’6” rods that I have used with various reels. They were custom built. I can throw my shaky worms with weights from 1/16 on up. If you are interested I will look for the blank, reel seat and guide specs.

Consistently successful jig fishermen how important is closely matching you trailer color to your jig color?
Not at all. One of the best summer colors where I fish is a red jig with a big white trailer. Another is an orange, chartreuse, and brown jig with a water melon/red twin tail.

The names used to describe lures are nuts.
I understand their reasoning as on place ordered 1000 at a time.
