  1. I don’t know how anyone would be able to tell. I’ve been to deer processing plants and seen tubs full of deer tails which were going to be sent off to some company.
  2. You might start at your local library and see what they have. A friend of mine couldn’t find one anywhere so he checked and the library had one. He was able to copy pages from it.
  3. I hadn’t been for a month but was able to go yesterday. I tried wake baits with no bites, spinner baits with 2 bass, shaky with 3 bass then Ned. My neighbor and I stayed with the Ned and caught 70 more (largemouth, smallmouth, spotted bass and mean mouth).

Of a hundred. We haven’t been able to get out for a month which has been killing me. My neighbor and I went down to Stockton lake this morning. They had rain which we were unaware. Our launch area was muddy. I headed out to open water and got away from the mud. I pulled into an area with a series of coves and started throwing a spinnerbait. In about a quarter of a mile I had caught 2 and my neighbor had none. I couldn’t get bit on a rocky point so I tossed a Ned out and had a nice smallmouth on the first cast. My neighbor did the same and the game was on. I tried shaky for a while and caught 3 but they weren’t on it like the Ned. We fished in and out of the coves in this area for 6 hours. We had doubles 4 or 5 times. We didn’t bother with pics or measurements. We just caught and released. In the mix we had smallmouth, largemouth, spotted bass and 3 meanmouth. We caught 75 fish in the six hours. They were still biting when I called the dogs and put out the fire. Most of the fish are close to spawning but not there yet. The water is around 62°. We normally cover 1/2 mile per hour so I think we fished close to 3 miles today which is only half of that area. What a day to remember.
  5. Nope. None what so ever. Just an occasional cleaning by cadman the rest of the time fish.
  6. I only use 1 knot for everything and that’s the Pitzen.
  7. You can easily get into the $1000s depending on wants and budget. If you live anywhere close to a retail store that carries them, my advice to you is go there and have someone show you the units and how they work. Plan to be overwhelmed.
  8. They all have good qualities. What do you want your unit to do?
  9. A couple of toothpicks in the hole then the screw should do a temporary repair. If you can get to the underneath side a bolt and lock nut mig do the trick.

I have turned into a finesse fisherman. I use 8# fluorocarbon line on most setups for light jigs, Ned rigs and Shaky. I rarely pull out a standard setup.
  11. Tracker historically does things on the cheap shooting for first boat buyers while MK is playing CYA.
  12. You don’t say what type and weights of baits or line size and type you have.
  13. Just make sure that you have a good breaker installed.
  14. I find this to be a good helper also. https://stockton.uslakes.info/Level/Calendar/2026/03/
  15. Dirty jigs guppy head 1/8 oz in various colors
  16. All it takes is a board a couple of nails and some wire.
  17. I can’t answer that question but can offer you an option. Try parasite clips on your rigging. They keep the plastic in place and it lasts longer. They are simple to make.
  18. Even if you were specific in capital letters you would get the same kind of responses. You make a post you open the door.
  19. Before I tried anything I would call the manufacturer and see what they recommend or if they would give you a discount on a replacement.
  20. The bait monkey gave up on me a long time ago. The truck monkey is working on his own but my wife keeps bringing the boat monkey into the house.
  21. There’s that other monkey no one talks about. He’s been on me for the last 4 months, (THE TRUCK MONKEY).
  22. The line, a screw driver through the spool and my wife holding the spool and providing tension.
  23. That sounds like the spawning is on.
