  1. I think Taipan rods are hundred percent USA made.
  2. I got to say that the medium mod fast Berkley lightning rod that I had was on target for the money. Wish I had not broken it and it was tough, snag aggravation was its down fall. My new Biolabs wake gill is fantastic for the 16 bucks I spent on it and a whole lot cheaper than the Gantrel it replaced. I made an off target cast with it and decided to burn it back in, it didn't flop over or blowout.
  3. Where is the register, I'm ready to checkout.
  4. The Fuego, kick my self for starting with Tatulas. Same for my Legalis, cant see a reason to buy something more expensive.
  5. I'll rephrase, I thought I was buying a quality bait. 15.00 for a tiny swimbait the least they could do is use a ring that wont straighten on a two pound fish.
  6. My BBZ-1 did the same. These aren't budget baits, don't think it's too much to ask for quality hook and hardware. My solution, bought a Bucca Baby Bull Shad.
  7. Happy to help. Just remember this is one manufacturers take.
  8. Take a look here as an example, http://dobynsrods.com/rods/fury/, you will see each is listed by action, power, length and what techniques they recommend. Its up to you if you want something heavier or slower as many have some carry over. One other thing, with Dobyns you can call and discuss your needs. Family shop if I'm not mistaken.
  9. Man I thought I was googoo for this stuff.
  10. How about a picture?
  11. Got mine today also, bombs without the effort. Really didn't think I was going to be wow'ed but I am.I payed 29.00 more than you did, not unhappy. Pitches and flips as you say! Why is the Monkey never satisfied? Now looking at an Elite.
  12. Miserable with a good chance of agony!
  13. Might sound silly but I do a warm up before I fish, I don't treat fishing much different than I do lifting. There are a bigillion videos on stretches and rotations that could be beneficial. Need to put rod down and get some blood flow going in elbow now and then.
  14. I think a Dobyns Fr735 would be a good choice for you, well within your budget. It isn't as heavy as its power rating of 5. Its defiantly not as stiff as my ABU Vendetta H/F which is pool cue'ish. I haven't had a chance to throw a frog with it, but I have with my Fr765 FLIP which has been working well for frogs.
  15. ↑ 8 Instrumental covers count?
  16. Love me some Pine Box Boys, great music.
  17. Who does, it maybe 110-118 here but humidity is 20% or below so its not to bad. Worst time of my life was during a field problem at Ft. Polk. Godforsaken dung hole, the humidity and heat were unbearable. IDK how Catt does it. Once the Monsoons come, I'll be holed up for more than one reason (lightening strikes can get constant).
  18. Is there a pool behind the rock you stand on? Could be a good ambush point, maybe not if your standing on it.
  19. Huh, what, has the world gone completely mad?
  20. Two one hundreds and a 200, all working perfectly. Same for Lexa 300. I've ordered an Tat SV, zero worries about its quality or performance. With another Tat 100 planned.
  21. From Sabbath to Iron Maiden to Damage plan. And everything in between.
  22. For spinnerbaits I have had a better hookup ratio with out a trailer. Jigs I add a trailer. Chatter, I've just about given up on for the year. But like jigs I get bit more with than without.
  23. Have any weights on mentioned baits? For my lighter baits (RS-S-waver 120), I can get away with my FR765 Flip or my FR735. Although that pushing it a little. I have an Okuma guide select XH that I use for heavier baits (5oz), Huds, Gantrel, ect. I plan on a FR 795SB (2.5oz) to to take over the lighter baits.
