  1. Another tree snake this morning and this is the first one I've seen on the ground.
  2. Deal with it every year but fortunately it means fishing is good.
  3. This is getting deep. Lol
  4. As I was going through my tackle and tying on baits for Monday morning, it has become apparent that this year has been very different than previous years. I've been doing well enough with Swim jigs, Keitech swimbaits and flukes that I've yet to throw my normal reportoire of baits. I've not thrown a Jerkbait, a Texas rig anything, a speed craw or a baby brush hog in 2022. Do you find yourself straying from baits that have previously been go to baits simply because what your throwing has been producing ? I've yet to throw a Ned or a buzzbait as well.
  5. A magical morning ?

I don't like getting all squishy and fuzzy. Love the forum and respect the members ?
  7. I see we have a mental heavyweight amongst us. ? Since retirement, fishing has definitely become a lifestyle. Check weather forecast, load boat, repeat.
  8. These boats struggle in the wind. It does help some to distribute weight to the transom to mitigate fish tailing. My tackle box weighs nearly what the battery weighs and both sit all the way back. I throw this boat on and off the truck by myself so hate to add something else to it. But yes many an owner adds a rudder, I've just learned to live with it.
  9. I wouldn't dare use Berkeley Vanish around young children. They shouldn't be exposed to foul language.
  10. Best bang - Shimano SLX
  11. If you put on the right bait, you'll get all the exercise you need. Lol ?
  12. I have some old rolls left from years ago and use it for backing...... it's ideal for that. Lol
  13. Was taped inside of boat when I bought it. I then wired it to the trolling motor. Oh, and I much prefer operating the motor from the bow, more stealth and can see shallow stumps which can be easily avoided. Good luck with the new boat, an outstanding fishing vessel ?
  14. Surprised you weren't supplied with the required plug to bow mount your trolling motor. I can only provide pics if that helps.
  15. Minnows were floating, dead
  16. Unless you have a live well, a bait basket hanging off the side into the water will be the only other option as I see it. We've tried the little battery operated airirators in coolers but the loss was greater than the reward.
  17. Berkeley Vanish has more memory than I've ever had. Seaguar would be a great improvement as would Sunline. Imo
  18. He'll be 62 June 30th and hasn't been seen or heard of in 9 years but a tell it like it is post.
  19. Ok if we're gonna derail. Whoopi Goldberg Nancy Pelosi Amber Heard
  20. Shimano Dobyns Keitech Lucky Craft
  21. I'd love to have the Redsoxs 2 - 3 - 4 hitters on my team....... which will not be disclosed. Lol
  22. I almost always carry 3 baitcasters and 2 spinning on every trip. 1 of the 5 usually end up being the ticket, doesn't matter which. The last several trips, skipping flukes on spinning has been the ticket.
  23. And I'll keep throwing the stuff he's given up on. Lol
  24. So you got a Bass boat that was " fine " , meaning no electrical issues but someone pulled the wiring before you took possession of the boat. ? Either way, have it looked at by a professional boat shop.
  25. My Dad enlisted in 1944 and didn't come out until 1965, he never had much to say.
