  1. Don't dare look at New pickup trucks, there asking 5k over MSRP here.
  2. Been a long time user of Zoom flukes and Bass assassins and wanted some info on impacts with straight tail. They seem quite a bit softer compared to flukes and assassins, similar to Elaztech. To those who use them: What's your preferred method of presentation ? Walk them like flukes ? On a drop-shot ? Thank you.
  3. What an EPIC event. ?
  4. I would have recommended the Shimano, never had a bad one. Where I'm different is, for a universal rod I'd go with a 6'10 - 7'0 med over a MH. IMHO But considering I use braid with no stretch, looking for a bent rod during the fight.
  5. My wife's favorite song......God is great, beer is good and people are CRAZY. Lol
  6. Loosing loved ones (and dogs) is always painful but it's also apparent that funeral homes take advantage of those in a low emotional state with outrageous fees. Imo No graveyard for me, won't be there anyway.?
  7. It's the one bait that I have tied on year around. My favorite places to fish them are over submerged timber, not to deep, bumping stumps and murky water coves. I've caught more LM and SM with a spinnerbait than any other bait but throw them often. My favorite color for SM is white with a touch of red. Favorite color for LM is.........
  8. Wish you the best in your pursuit for giant Bass. It's very similar to chasing big whitetail bucks as they move at night and hide in thick cover during the day. The desire to breed and spawn is what gives us the edge...... sometimes.
  9. We bought a new 1996 Subaru Outback stick shift and went on to put over 300K on that car without a single failure. It was single handledly the most reliable vehicle we've ever owned. It did start using quite a bit of oil but it's still running today. We sold it to a young family for $500.
  10. Was that a floating or a suspending H20 ?
  11. WOW, thanks for sharing an absolute beautiful fish ?
  12. Bird replied to DN3's topic in Introductions
Nothing wrong with a reintroduction, welcome back. My job certainly interfered with my desire to fish....then came kids.
  13. Crop your pics and enlarge them then hit save.
  14. If Doug Hannon was still alive would he have made anyone's list of preferred professionals ?
  15. Took awhile but finally located lake Menderchuck...... won't be needing A-Jay.
  16. Looks like a monster could be lurking.....20+
  17. That would bother me. Do they make an in hull transducer for your fish finder ? I know my Fish finder offers an in-hull mounting kit but if I'm not mistaken,it will only read through Fiberglass.
  18. Rick, Google the advantages of lithium batteries, life cycle alone may very well pay for itself. Yes, you'll need 24V battery for that trolling motor but don't settle for a 50ah, get the most you can afford Incase you have engine problems or fighting wind and have to rely on your trolling motor.
  19. Only 50 amps per hour ? I'd want a minimal of 100. Imo
  20. I'm gung-ho on organization and having everything needed for a given scenario. What this mindset does is create the need for a large tackle bag.
  21. 100% agree. My 1st outing of the year was this past Wednesday and apon checking the water temp (39*) I knew a casting session was on. ? Actually stayed on the water for 5 hrs just casting and watching various baits do their thing. Played with the magnets on a SLX and marked waypoints. Had an absolute blast.
  22. Jimmy Houston, my all time favorite. And anyone one on Bass resource...... how's that? Lol
  23. First time I've actually heard this asked. Lol My off and on is instantaneous on my Garmin and always turn it off when trolling motor is suspended.
  24. All the lithium batteries I own are indeed made in China and all charge on on my existing chargers, similar to the requirements of deep cycle marine batteries, yes I've heard the chatter. The research will show that the initial cost of lithium is debunked with life cycle, weight and low maintenance. So far, been very impressed with lithium batteries.
