If you're unsure of your electrical prowess, just hard wire to battery. I personally like a dedicated battery to my fish finders. I know, not much help.......the caveman approach.

I only carry 1/8 bullet split shot and really only 2 uses presently. On a wacky rig when I want to speed up presentation and when a weightless senko lasts long enough to lose it's salt. I throw a lot of Elaztech ZinkerZ and they will actually float after extended use, even with a 4.0 hook. Lol

I have a fishing kayak and the Bass Raider 10E with 55lb trolling motor. Only time the kayak gets used is river fishing but much prefer fishing out of the Bass Raider. I'm 61 and can easily throw the Bass Raider on back of my truck, no trailer required but the ability to comfortably stand is perhaps the biggest plus for me personally. If you're asking me ? Keep that Raider.

I throw quite a bit of wacky and Neko and use the VMC rings and pliers, like them. Senko's do last longer unless Crappie like the color your throwing......PB&J. Lol

Consider Hyundai for the money. Bought both my daughters Hyundai's and both were trouble free. Wife bought a new in 2016 Santa Fe and it has also been trouble free. I do know that Mitsubishi made what is referred to as an interference engine, when the timing belt goes, the whole top of engine goes with it......trust me I know.

Thanks for all the feedback. Let me rewind a bit. This long time friend of mine is who taught me the ropes in Bass fishing. He's super generous and laid back and I'll continue to fish with him. I have a 2 man boat of my own which he also fishes from and he never complains when he's forced to slow down. On our last trip in his boat I pretied all my baits the night before and none of them had time to hit bottom......my bad. Lol. He's been consistently a power fisherman and I've slowed down so I'll make halftime adjustments and move on. Thanks again

Yes trout colored baits work great in trout stocked waters. Lol

My fishing partner of over 40 years and I have both retired and the plan is to fish 3 - 4 days a week, week days only. This year alone we have fished 6 times together but a disturbing theme is developing. Lol. He is very fast pased, jumping from waypoint to waypoint and constantly trolling. I on The other hand have a much slower more methodical pace. His pace is forcing me to forget about any slow presentations like wacky, drop-shot or really any finesse. He's a diehard power fisherman and very accomplished but I'm struggling to keep pace. It's deep divers, 3/4 Texas rings and 1/2 oz Spinnerbaits and he's on to the next spot. BAM. I could sit on a submerged tree for an hour. Idk Thinking I should mix in some solo trips but really don't want to hurt his feelings.......rant over.

Possibly off topic, sorry. I do know that Power pro makes a line for night fishing that glows under black light called super slick 8 I believe. Explain more about what you're looking for and why, curious.
