  1. Amazon really surprises me at times, ridiculously high on some tackle and the best prices in town on other tackle. I much prefer to support our family owned tackle shop but occasionally find something that can't be passed up.
  2. Fishing tackle is something that I'm not overly patient with. If a particular bait or technique doesn't produce in respectful amount of time then I point fingers and move on, even to the point of elimination. Two examples that went drastically in opposite directions. (1) the very first time I threw a drop-shot and Roboworms an instant love affair was formed and an entire section of tackle storage is devoted to this bait/technique. (2) the dreaded chatterbait, what can I say. Gave this bait a fair shake and never produced a fish. It also doesn't help that I'm a huge fan on Spinnerbaits which have produced for decades so no longer own a chatterbait but love Zman.
  3. I use Zman a lot, not only for Ned's but Neko also. Throw all your plastics in a bucket of water and see what floats...... yes I do it. Lol. Stand up baits work best. Imo.
  4. Just posted in another thread that I catch Crappie well before largemouth every year. They indeed steal the show early.
  5. After water temps climb out of the 30's simply because I don't catch largemouth bass in the 30's. (1) Jerkbaits (2) Spinnerbaits (3) Jigs I catch Crappie and Smallmouth every year well before I catch my 1st largemouth and this year has been no exception.
  6. From someone not very literate with computers, OH wait !!! Don't own one. Lol Here's what I did from my smart phone when dealing with similar issues. Deleted the original book mark and loaded the site again and had my password reset....TADA
  7. It's like cell phones, get what you're use to using. I've owned nothing but Garmin and certain that'll be my next unit.
  8. Possibly already ran my pie-hole in this thread but just in case. PB was on a Texas rigged culprit worm. Most of my big fish by a wide margin came on a spinnerbait. My most recent big fish came on a Magnum fluke.
  9. I've gave great thought to this. (1) Never once has anyone ever ridiculed me for Bass fishing, not once. (2) I can't think of a single reason to care or pay mind to what others deem as a preferred specie to pursuit. My youngest brother is a golfing finatic and I at 61 have never once picked up a gulf club.....I really like that little guy.
  10. I understand you have a boat and good water to fish.......PM sent.?
  11. Have a ton of Shakey heads but always end up Texas or wacky jig. Gonna make it a point to throw them this year, especially speed craws and brush hogs. Likely on a 6'10 med Lews custom for starters, maybe spinning or maybe casting. Idk Definitely braid to leader though.
  12. WOW, you sir are a gourmet cook..... sounds delicious.
  13. We have quite a few Fall fish swimming around here in VA, I've caught them as large as 3lb but only in rivers. They are incredibly slimy and squeaky but if you can avoid bones, they eat good. Oh, not much fight.
  14. Yes, it's my long time fishing friends boat but yes it's incredibly stable and a blast to fish from. 150 Mariner does very well. Trailer and boat are heavy but well built.
  15. Yes, I always target big fish and then rush on here to gloat.......self proclamation.

You are correct, a lifetime 300 hitter likely makes the hall and has a high hit count......think Rod Carew, Toney Gwynn but they missed more than they hit. Lol
  17. WOW, your dropping some coin lately. What are plans for this outfit ?
  18. Transferring weight is really the only solution.
  19. Elaztech is great stuff but a strangely behaved compound. I've found nothing consistent about it..... sometimes it does and sometimes it doesn't. If you leave it out of it's pack it may turn into Chucky.
  20. Since I started throwing Zman spinnerbaits, I've become tunnel vision, all I throw. The BullZeye is a great addition.
  21. Ha Ha!! Perhaps a little boxer shorts exposure to boot.
  22. Certainly sounds like a false negative, happens. Sounds like you're mending and from family members who had Covid, taste is last to return.
  23. Thankyou sir ?

I was such an avid baseball fan that I listened to WLW Cincinnati Reds broadcast every game and flew to Cincinnati several times a year to watch the Reds play at Riverfront stadium. Watching Jonny Bench, George Foster, Barry Larkin, Dion Sanders was epic. Now I'm just a casual fan, looking at scores on sports apps. Never will I devote so much time and effort to a sport that's seen better days.....nadda.
