Braided line and backlash tendency
Politefully put, this has not been my experience with baitcasters.

Best all around spinnerbait
My favorite single blade is Zman BullZeye shown on bottom. Overall favorite is Sling bladez 3/8 shown on top.

O rings for wacky rigs
Same, like them better than Orings.

Braided line and backlash tendency
You are correct sir but threads like this often spawn false information........ like 50# braid is required on all bait casters to prevent digging and backlash, simply not true.

Anyone else tired of supply chain issues?
I've been waiting for over a year for a simple sail switch for my furnace. Yes, getting ridiculous. Bingo !

Braided line and backlash tendency
20 lb Power pro on all my bait casters for years.......no digging, no nests.

5.5 inch senko
Use the 5" for wacky and weightless TR, To much inventory not to. Lol Use mostly ZinkerZ but when they lose salt they float so go to a wacky jig or nail weight. I've not cut a stick bait as of yet.

Best all around spinnerbait
Ha ha, good eye. Bought a pack to try and since then they've been disposed of never to be used again. The Spinnerbait in pic actually walked itself completely out of clip during a fight...... never again.

Va bass fishing
I fish all over the state of VA and have been catching them on jerkbaits and Spinnerbaits. BUT water temps aren't moving much lately. You'll do better once the water temps climb into the 50's and we escape this brutal cold front.......13* tonight.

I'll be following as I've hung a bucket of Jigs in the past month ☹️

Is there a best/better braid for spinning reels?
Same.

If You Were A GOAT
No, tournament fishing is the opposite reason I love fishing. I'm not pressured to catch and make my own schedule. I enjoy watching though and adore some of the guys who's made it big like Jimmy Houston, Hank Parker, Bill dance to name a few. Gotta believe that lifestyle has it's share of stress.

Anyone buy a house on the lake? Fish more?
Beautiful !!!

Any experience with weedless Ned's ?
Have always done well with Neds in the clear water lakes around here. Only have one complaint and it's that they get hung more often than I like. I've never been a fan of wire weed guards so decided to give these 1/16 heads a try. Think hookup ratio will suffer ? New vs old.

Recently retired.
Welcome sir and congratulations on the retirement. I probably would still be working but the wife INSISTED that I retire. Lol Enjoy the great outdoors ?

Dock Baits
We have a large lake ( Anna ) that I make it to a couple of times a year that has hundreds of docks and I only throw 2 baits....... wacky rig Senko's and Zoom flukes. Yes, it's because they skip so well.

How do you determine water clarity?
With polarized sunglasses on, I usually see fish hit my bait. We have clear water.

Issues with finding Kayak mount
Wife and I loaded a 14ft mad river canoe and a 12ft wilderness systems kayak on top of an Avalanche with sunroof for many years while camping. The Yakima roof rack kept all weight above the doors, the rack worked flawlessly.

Time to talk about protection from the sun?
Never smoked a cigarette in my life, 61......both parents did and died young with lung cancer. I wear shorts and a tank top all summer but use sunscreen liberally. Oh, been chewing tobacco since I was 11. Lol

Motor won't trip up or down without being plugged in to extension cord
Just went through this in my buddies boat last weekend. He had to replace his cheap everstart with an interstate battery......all good.

East wind means no fish ???
Why don't you go above and beyond and take the 5 old women fishing ? ?

A Boat Story
After reading his story, betting he wasn't wearing a PFD either. If he keeps that boat or any boat for that matter, you need to have a chat with him about boat safety and soon. Glad to hear they both made it out alive.
