Used the search and didn't get what I was looking for. Has/does anyone use polarized progressive sunglasses and what are your thoughts ? Have never worn prescription glasses but have an upcoming eye appointment and likely going with progressive lenses for both, every day use and sunglasses for fishing. My eye doctor carries Maui Jim's and Oakley that I know of and got a feeling This will likely be quite expensive and would rather not screw this up. Lol

My dominant hand is the hand closest to reel when casting. When purchasing a baitcaster, I never pay attention to what side the crank is on as I'm about 50/50 and my hands are fiddling on the cast.

Gotcha. The one I had was 2-stage and was very impressed with it. I was under the impression that the 2nd stage was the way it fed the hopper. Thanks That said......ain't no way am I pushing a snowblower around. Lol

Not having owned a snow blower for years " use an ATV " I believe the 2-stage units can move the wet stuff better than single stage.

For those effective by the latest east coast snowstorm, be careful and pace yourself. We have about 7" with a layer of ice on top making it equivalent to shoveling gravel. Every year locally I hear of heart attacks while shoveling snow. Take your time. ?

I have many ratios......just look at the bait and adjust accordingly.

And here I am using Lews speed sticks and old lightning rods. Lol Keep it simple and look at the Rods recommendations for lure weight ratings and go from there.

I have both and a very simple answer. The one with the exposed hook has better hookup ratio but snags more stuff. The one with the weedless hook has less hookup ratio but does not snag as much stuff. Have only used them for 1 season, they have good action and hold up well. Been throwing mine on a frog rod.

You succeeded in pinpointing the 2 baits that I've failed miserably to catch fish on.......Chatterbait and deep diving crankbaits. As a rational and conservative thinking fisherman, neither exist any longer in my arsenal.

Fishing has been my #1 hobby since retirement and I've yet to burn out. I have acquired other hobbies to occupy enough time to make me anticipate my next fishing trip. Fishing 3 days per week seems like a good balance.

Models are showing us to get hit with heavy snow Sunday and Monday. Ran out today and got bread and toilet paper. ?

I also organize by type. Every type of bait I own is on the boat every trip. Overflow of the same baits is kept in storage indoors. I always tie on the night before depending on conditions and what body of water I'm fishing and go from there.

Can't do nothing here. Enough ice to eliminate launching, not enough for ice fishing. Guess I'll watch football. Lol
