Savage Gear soft swimbait ?
Recently purchased the weedless version 4" 1 1/4oz. The way the hook is oriented, looks like hookup ratio may be questionable. I've seen Savage gear recommended here before. Anyone have any insight on this bait ? Thanks

WRITING IS ON THE WALL
This discussion came up on an RV forum and went into great detail by seemingly knowledgeable members. After reading the 100 or so responses, I gathered battery technology and petroleums roll in the economy puts electric further out then most realize.

Be careful!!
Wow, thought that figure was nation wide but after reading, it's 1 state. Hope everyone becomes more aware and realizes......much more boat activity than ever before.

Have to brag !!
Good for her as you can't teach smarts. We can however teach our children work ethic and encourage ambition. Sounds like she had a good foundation. Oh, both of my girls inherited the wife's brain, thankfully.

Does the time of day matter for a whopper plopper?
Start almost every morning off with a whopper plopper, they work here as does a buzzbait.

Bubblegum, chartruse, and pearl colored lures, anyone fish them?
Surprisingly, cotton candy chartreuse works well for Smallmouth here in VA in clear water, don't know why.

Opinion? 20lb braid mainline overkill? Spinning setup
Same line, same experience.

Two wasn't enough!
Well at least the sense of humor didn't get flooded out......Hang in there Catt.

AGM deep cycle battery???
I do recommend an AGM battery but which one is dependent upon how you use it. I can fish all day with a 26Ah , stop and go and the battery is relatively lightweight for my kayak. If I'm fishing a big body of water and know I'll be fighting wind, simply throw in a spare. Larger capacity batteries can be VERY heavy so I find it easier to deal with (2) lightweight batteries and 90% of the time I'm fine fishing until I'm content with a 26Ah AGM 12V battery. My trolling motor has a battery indicator on it so I've become acclimated to battery range. Note: try to avoid full draw for long periods.

Swimbait vs swimming worm?
Exactly what I do. Look at the action and see what they do so you know what the presentation looks like.

My Wife Was Almost a Millionaire
Posts like this make me feel like I have limited resources between the ears. Lol

Big worms yet?
Maybe I may need to rethink as well. Don't start throwing 10" Zooms until well into 70+ water temps and in the fall.

My Wife Was Almost a Millionaire
As crazy as these events may seem, there's no such thing as coincidence......perhaps your living right.

Windy conditions
I'll take glass water over wind any day. Wind compromises boat control and line sensitivity and definitely effects confidence level. It also eliminates the effectiveness of polarized glasses. Did surprisingly well on weightless Senko last few days in wind but you run the risk of gut hook due to fish had it before you knew it, talking high winds. Heavier baits that straighten the line seems wiser in these types of conditions. Imo

Left alone or harassed
Not funny as it's very frustrating getting asked for an autograph while in the midst of a cast.

I have a new neighbor
You could actually enhance their relationship by showing him 1/4 of your inventory. He leaves your shop feeling like a success at a tender age and maybe offers you some free tackle. Lol

Wacky Rig Fishing is EXPENSIVE
I believe you'll find the ZinkerZ to be very effective throwing them weightless with 4.0 - 5.0 hook. My observation is there not that buoyant with hook but yet stand up like a Neko rig on the bottom. Good fall rate - stands up = double whammy. 5" ZinkerZ in PB&J has been killer here.Edit: you may be correct about being to buoyant with small wacky hook.

Left alone or harassed
Not much rattles me out on the water or even on land. BUT the wife and I rented a cabin on a lake many years ago and was out fishing on the bass boat while the wife was sunning herself in a bikini in rear of boat. 2 guys saw me and her troll by and instantly pulled anchor and here they come. Followed us into every cove and back out in main lake without even making a cast. I knew exactly what they were doing so placed a beach towel over the wife and they fled the scene but had the nerve to throw profanity my way. Oh, they had a faster trolling motor so had to do something. Lol

Got my PB kayak bass today.
Good fish ?

Common or not
I know many gals that fish with their mates but don't know any that would be considered dedicated or that even owns a boat other than a recreational kayak. My wife fished quite a bit with me in the 80's but quickly burned out if not catching something every other cast. There is however several female fisherman on YouTube that have very good success fishing and very good success getting likes but think that they're attire has a lot to do with it. If my wife wants to run out and buy a bass boat today, that's her prerogative, she does as she pleases.

Wacky Rig Fishing is EXPENSIVE
Any time you go weightless or wacky , expect paramount damage to worm, I've found. Expect success but buy in bulk.
