  1. That's good to hear. When it becomes an addiction, it becomes a problem......keep it up.
  2. Graduated from drinking beer. Lol Do everything neat, everything.
  3. Hopefully the ethically responsible people, obviously apparent by the responses here can offset the armpits of society to some degree. Not related to fishing but just an example. Close retired friend of mine just recently purchased a new push mower for excercise " big guy " and parked it beside his house, next morning.....gone.
  4. When I googled Tennessee killer I got tons of mug shots.....no crankbaits.
  5. Your going to have that in every facet of life, some due to illiteracy and some due to plain lack of respect. I recently witnessed 2 guys on a jon boat sinking their beer cans in the lake as they finished them off, can after can. Have not kept a single bass in over 40 yrs......trout and Crappie taste WAY better.
  6. When I think of creature baits I become tunnel vision to Yamamoto, been throwing them for years a long with Brush hogs. Many rigging options but I only use 2......T-rig or Shakey head 3/16 - 1/4. You can see the similarities, creature on the right, hog on left.
  7. Lol, I fish all winter and I'm retired. VA Lakes 2020: Frederick Holiday Douthat Laurel Arrowhead Elkhorn Robertson Bear creek Claytor WV Lakes 2020: Rock cliff Kimsey run Parker hollow
  8. I've fished 9 different lakes in VA and 3 in WV and all are seeing a significant increase in boat traffic compared to last year. I'd go as early as possible.
  9. I use a 6'10 MH moderate Lews tournament speed stick, also throws spinnerbaits.
  10. Never heard of Hank sherry but congrats, give him some credit. Never heard of KVD until he won. Oh, I'm not paying 20 something when I can Jerk way cheaper. Lol
  11. Well said. I've certainly used more Zoom plastics over the years than any other by a fair margin including Brush hogs. I also believe the OP may have received a " glitch ".
  12. Didn't realize a heron would target a bass of that size but sure looks probable.
  13. Yes I'm very guilty of stupidity when life was young, 10ft tall and bullet proof. This really hits home as I've fished Anna quite often over the years and most recent trip I actually caught the attention of my fishing partner. He was racing across the lake in his Nitro, 250 Merc and I screamed and pointed " SHALLOW !!!! " , it was close. Still thinking about it.....sad for this young man enjoying a lake I enjoy.
  14. All I wanna know is can I keep throwing blue plastics ? I don't mind getting skunked. ?
  15. Hearing this makes me bluer than blue as it's been a mainstay in my arsenal for many years.....the color blue.
  16. I don't keep a running tally but do know I'm under 100 fish caught and probably put over 100 miles on a Jerkbait. Agree with you on the spinnerbait, my 2 best LM of 2020 was from one and keep one tied on year around. Numbers and consistancy should go up from here.
  17. 15# Power pro to 8# Sunline sniper on light action spinning rod using 1/16 oz Zman shrooms.
  18. Weather finally broke and gave a window. Caught 7 LM and 1 Crappie.....few pics. 2 Bass 1 Crappie on Jerkbait and rest on brush hog.
  19. Oh wow, that's someone watching to many knot videos and applying all of them at once.
  20. It's perfectly fine to run straight braid to buzzbaits......65# seems excessive though. Lol
  21. Heavy pressure is the theme at present. All the rural lakes I fish are loaded up at daylight. At those water temps, I'd throw Jerkbaits and spinnerbaits and hope the fish hasn't bit one in last 5 minutes.
  22. Yeah but those wacky tools just scream......" I'm to cool and look like an accomplished fisherman " vs a broken Bic. Lol
  23. My longest rod is 7'3 H frog stick. I fish from a seated position and find 6'6 - 6'10 a sweet spot.
  24. I do hang a Ned quite often where I fish but find those thin wire hooks on 1/16 heads give enough to free the bait before line breaking.....most often. Will say, you lose way fewer baits from a boat due to angle advantage.
  25. Been using 15 - 20# Power pro for many years. The small diameter makes for a clean leader knot and exceptional casting. One learning curve worth mentioning regarding braid, sweep your hooksets vs coming unglued.
