I don't mind throwing on a rain coat for a light rain but detest my gear getting rained on steady. I'll simply pick a dryer day, overcast preferable.

I probably see more Trackers on the water then any other boat for a reason....... affordability and functionality. Hope you find the right boat and use it.

I've got a lot of equipment and some are on a maintenance charge year around and some I simply charge periodically. What you want to avoid is a complete discharge. Couple of weeks unplugged won't hurt a thing but will admit, when the wife and I travel for a couple of weeks, I leave the battery tenders connected.

In 2023, I've fished 27 different lakes in VA/WV. I've put over 5k on the truck pulling the boat. 2024 will be a repeat and a couple of new lakes thrown in. @ol'crickety Wife and I will be staying at Bar harbor for 2 weeks in July but all fishing will be salt.

I've helped my sister through 3 and they've all been a nasty money pit and court battle. Wish you the best.

I fish so much I can't even remember where I caught them. 😂Here's a few.

Our water is 43* currently and it's been slow fishing. 1/8 - 3/8 jigs and spinnerbaits have been responsible for what few fish I've caught. Suspending Jerkbaits and underspins have always produced in the past in cooler water temps. So far in December I'm only averaging 1 fish every 2 hours fishing from 10 am until 2 pm. Good luck.

There is no reason as an NFL football fan to think SF is not a front runner to the SB. Just an unbiased fan of the game. Baltimore or Miami from the AFC, maybe.

It's obvious at this point, SF will be the NFC representative in the SB....... against Baltimore or Miami ???? Maybe

I just got home from 3 weeks at the cabin deer hunting. My mind is on fishing once again but waiting on a warm sunny day or at least warmer then the 15* I woke up to this morning. That said, I've never done well with water temps below 50* but will keep trying.

Don't understand why lay down if you're getting paid to do a job regardless of incoming retirement. I didn't have a choice really as my retirement came suddenly and was unplanned. I was a workaholic and married to a financial advisor and she simply said STOP.......true story.

Been away for awhile hunting but came across this thread....... WOW. Sounds stressful and something I want no part of. Actually doesn't sound like a friendship because I personally love to see My friends experience success while fishing. Hope this behavior changes quickly or time to move on.

I've only had Skeeter, Hydra Sport and currently a Lowe. Naturally I like the Lowe best simply because it's a newer boat. If I weren't so frugal I'd be looking at Vexus AVX.

I'm a line watcher 👀 , I see it before I feel it....... except when the wind is blowing. On slow falling baits that almost always get engulfed before reaching the bottom, you can physically see your line suddenly race. I also use braid exclusively which does add an element of sensitivity.

I liked all the states I've fished in....... that was easy to remember. 😁

I have Plano boxes labeled " Jigs " but 90% of them are 3/8 swim jigs, what I mainly throw.
