  1. Another lake in WV
  2. Set your phone on 10 sec timer. Holding a fish out arms length while taking a pic doesn't due the fish justice.

    Welcome to Bass Resources
  4. Wow those Bogs are magical, congrats on the new PB...... that'll likely be short lived. Ha ha

I'm dealing with tennis elbow in the thumb ?...... from lipping so many bass. Nah, Your describing what sounds like carpal tunnel syndrome. Had surgery years ago and all is well. Since I've retired and spend countless hours on the water another issue has arisen, ganglion cyst on casting wrist. You gotta pay to play. Hope you find relief.
  6. Sounds like you may want to sharpen the hooks. While frogs don't have a hookup ratio , say like a Spinnerbait, you shouldn't be missing them all. I like a Spro popping frog, can also be walked. From a boat I'm always standing when working frogs, rod tip high and apon blowup, point the tip to the fish and set the hook, this gives a delay. I don't hook them all on frogs but enough to keep throwing them.
  7. Ha ha, Berkeley lightning rod, we bragged as kids with those rods. I actually still have one in the boat on a Mitchell 300 ?
  8. Listen to whoppi Goldberg while you're fishing, you'll learn to really concentrate on fishing ?........ sorry. Dropshot is a fantastic technique in pressured water, here it is anyway. Wacky finesse worms is perhaps my favorite, 1/16 head.
  9. I've found over the years that after a big cold front, it could take a couple of days before the fish become active feeders. But don't let it stop you, just slow down. Our solonar calendar says poor fishing Tuesday, I'll be out there. ?
  10. Welcome to Bass Resources Paul.
  11. 1st of April is when I start hooking good fish but anytime I'm on the boat I'm feeling very content. Fall is a magical time of year, sitting in a tree stand thinking about fishing and sitting in the boat thinking about deer hunting.
  12. Everytime I take the wife fishing there will be nightcrawlers on the boat. She likes to catch bluegill but always manages to catch a few bass as well.
  13. Gotta admit, only time I watch TV is when a ball game is on, avid sports fan. Years ago I would have said baseball " big Red machine". Wife's sister lived in Cincinnati and every time we would visit I'd go to a Reds game. Actually caught a Hal Morris HR sitting in center field. I watch both but would rather see the Superbowl...... always turn off the halftime show and back on in the 3rd. ?
  14. Always have at least 1 Crank bait tied on but only have (1) 3600 box, mainly 6 sense. Worms are the problem, I got WORMS. I order from a local guy 200 worms at a time, 200 of this color and 200 of another color. I do not like getting low on worms. ?
  15. @N Florida Mike Not sure why but the biggest town close by has a burger king, Wendy's, Arby's,Denny's and many others and McDonald's always has a line.
  16. @Catt Gotta love that LSU support ?.......who DAT
  17. Avid football fan, college and pro. My early top 10. Lol 1. Georgia 2. Mich 3. Ohio State 4. Bama 5. USC 6. Penn State 7. LSU 8. FSU 9. Wash 10. Tenn
  18. Wow, thought I was the only one..... definitely Olive garden. Wife and i love Italian and Olive garden is at the very bottom of our list. Applebee's a very close 2nd.
  19. But you gotta fish next Tuesday - Wednesday......full moon. Thinking is suppose to cool down a little.
  20. All fisherman at the ramps are highly successful and very well accomplished. I do often watch YouTube videos of fisherman on a new lake that I want to fish just to get a feel. I do better on steep shaded banks then I do on points in the summer.
  21. Always like getting the skunk out of the way. Skunks are humbling, effect appetite, mood, marriage and can have long term effects on health. On the bright side, my fishing partner can be loud and obnoxious at times.......a good skunking makes for a quiet ride home. ?
  22. Lots of times I'm Invisioning a top water blow up, drag peeling and tail dancing......all while in the comforts of my couch. So yes, you can still catch fish.
  23. The Wacky rig is best done solo so you don't have to listen to the POWER fisherman in the back of the boat b***h.....I know.
  24. I would vote presentation. " One could argue " that casting accuracy and bait placement would fall under presentation as well, which is very important.
  25. With age comes wisdom, at least we hope. I mainly throw baits with really good hook-up ratio and never require " swinging for the fences". AND stay away from really windy days. Then there's the scenario where I can't tell I'm slowing down......but really am. ?
