Stubborn fishing partner.
My long time fishing partner is recovering from heart surgery so for the last month or so I've been fishing with my 1st cousin who also is retired, he's 68. He's always been stubborn but today it was really on display. We got on the water early and fish were hitting the top of the water so I started with a Devils horse, caught a few. He was throwing a frog in open water, nothing. As the sun rose I proceeded to a shaded bank with a finesse worm and the fish craved it. My cousin is still throwing a frog so I offered him the front of the boat and exactly what I was throwing, he declined and proceeded to skunk. He was grouchy on the drive home but had the roles been reversed, I'd gladly except a bait that was catching fish.

Braid to fluorocarbon connection knot question
I use 15# braid to 8# flouro leader using Alberto knot and keep it out of the spool, never an issue.

Hawaii
Wife and I have been all over the tropics, Bahamas, Caribbean and keep going back to the Hawaii islands.......our favorite. Are you being serious? ?

Fishing With The Wind VS Fishing Into The Wind
Much rather fish with the wind and tap the trolling motor vs staying on it. Baitcasters don't particularly care for casting into the wind.

Oakley vs Costa Sunglasses
I did the Oakley's and had Starbucks coffee the same day. ?

Screw lock bait keeper question
I've not seen a Spinnerbait or chatterbait with a screw lock. I'll add this though, Elaztech and screw locks don't form a very good relationship ?.

hot dogs
Can you imagine the Sodium intake ?

Summer baits for larger fish
@Skunkmaster-k Funny, my biggest bass last summer was caught on a purple ZinkerZ.....Zmans version of a Senko.

Bass Boat Advice for Charlotte, NC area
@FrankCostanza The boat is very stable walking around. The 3 lockable storage compartments have a gasket and stay relatively dry but some moisture still penetrates during a down pour.

Bass Boat Advice for Charlotte, NC area
Bang for buck = aluminum. I recently bought a 2023 Lowe Stinger 175 for well under 40K, check them out.

Surprise during the night!
Thought maybe you were exaggerating " cut in half "......you weren't. Hope no one was injured.

Bass Spawn and Milfoil/Hydrilla
Around here the water is very clear which allows sun penetration and the abundance of hydrilla, especially the more shallow lakes. Does not effect the reproduction of bass.

Help finding first boat
Never even heard about Lowe until I started shopping boats and that's what I ended up with. Drove 12 hours round trip to get it. We have used car lots around here with boats, keep shopping and you'll find a gem.

My last flight.
Wow you've lived an envious lifestyle and it sounds like it's only going to get better. Wife and I spent a week in Puerto Vallarta, sweet.

Albino bass sighting
Were you throwing a pearl magnum fluke on ultralight ? ?

Weightless Senko observations.
I throw mainly Yamamoto but also really like Zinkerz. Plenty on this forum like the Dingers.

The hair police.
I got the opposite problem. I've inherited a thick head of hair from my father and the wife wants it long.......I don't.
-
I got it cranked and running, but...
I'd put the boat on the water and give it a good run.

Angry people while pitching docks?
Fished a public lake this past Thursday where the dock owner actually placed bouys 50 yards out from their dock that read NO BOATS. By the condition of the bouys, they've been there quite a while.

I’m almost ready. Life”s curveballs.
Sounds like you 2 will be fine. Been on one cruise about 20 years ago and never again, not for me. Have family members that go each and every year and rave about it. The best part ? Wife hated it as well ?

Vehicle recall question
I have a 2021 F250 Super duty 4wd, no recall.

What are your heaviest powered rods?
Only have 1 heavy action rod on the boat and it rarely gets used, 1oz swim baits and magnum flukes. Medium action covers 90% of what I throw using braid. Med light for Neds and Drop-shot.
