Biggest fish I've ever caught on docks was flipping jigs to outside pillars. Two really good skipping baits are Senkos and flukes.

Fished from 6am to 11am then got hot so dove in and headed to the ramp. Only caught 5, water temps 84*.

Wacky is extremely productive for me every month after the spawn....... and catches big fish. I like a 1/16 Wacky head.

I've had Vmax and Duracell in the past and lifespan was on par with lead acid......RV application. Maintenance free with AGM may be appealing but I've only added water once per year with all my lead acid batteries in various equipment, boats included.

We all have baits that disappoint and then sometimes surprise us. I mostly throw jigs pre-spawn and around cover but they are big fish catchers. About all I can add is, trim the skirts, downsize and add a paddle tail trailer and swim them if craw trailers aren't producing....... change it up.

Y'all don't understand the mind of a thief...... they will take what they want. I park my boat at various lakes for days and never remove electronics. Throw a cover on and make them work. Never had anything stolen.

Sad news indeed but the memories will live on. My cousin has a 15 acre pond that I'm the only one that fishes it. Helped him stock it several years ago. A family of Otters took up residence in the pond......you can't buy a fish, cleaned it out.

I believe I caught the same fish as I did last Wednesday. Same stump, same bait and even the same time of day......10am.

90% of the time it's 1/8 tungsten throwing 5" finesse worms. The other 10% is split shot 1/8 lead. All my craw imitators are thrown on 1/8 Shakyhead. Don't think I own anything over 1/4.
