I've seen you post this several times. Is there a difference between the Spheros SW worm drive and Stradic worm drive design?

Theres a Curado K CU200PGK being made/sold but its a totally different reel from the regular K with a different drive shaft and drag stack.

Also a bank fisherman. I prefer MH as I typically fish lighter than what other jig fisherman probably fish. I don't have the luxury of maneuvering to free up snagged lures so I solve that by going lighter and snagging less (or trying to). I've fished the SLXs and theyre a nice rod for the money.

Buying American made isnt about the quality of the product. Its about a single individual who cant really make a difference, trying to somehow help America. China dominates world trade and is looking to overtake the US Dollar as the standard currency. Me buying Made in USA likely wont have much of an impact on that, but it makes me feel better about not supporting the USs demise. I buy Made in USA when possible and completely agree. Quality depends on the company. There are some companies that hire skilled/semi-skilled labor and pay fair wages and it shows in their products. Others don't and it also shows.

Im a big fan of Yo Zuri yellow braid. Its a bit stiffer than other braids but IMO at 10lb test, thats a plus.

Same here. Used in quarries although I do use about an 8' leader typically.

This knot requires you to look at it way more than im comfortable with. If i have to look at a knot more times than just when passing line through the hook eye and when seating it, it aint for me.

Youll see uni to uni used quite a bit here for joining lines. I don't use it because IMO the trilene is a superior knot and just as easy to tie.

Miravel and Nasci are about equal with neither being sealed. I was previously under the impression that the Miravel was a worm drive spinning reel but after looking at schematics, it appears that it is not despite the xship diagram showing that.

Perform that test in a pool with 30+ yds of line out. I don't think gear is sensitive enough for us to feel the "bite", what we feel is movement.

When you get into true ultralight weights (casting 1/32 or so), idk that rod length really makes that much of a difference. Also hook sets really shouldn't be an issue since you'll be fishing fine wire/small hooks. If you're looking to upgrade from the Triumph, go JDM. While you're at it, get a shallow spool 1000 or a C2000S reel which is a 1000 size body, 2500 size spool but shallow.
