  1. I'll have to find a suitable bottom. This sounds like snag city to me.
  2. Shoulda known Omnia was going to run out of the good free T Shirt sizes ... oh well daughter gets a new shirt lol
  3. I misread that as 0.8. It doesn't look like youre fishing a shock leader ... I would add one. If switching off braid, Varivas twitch master very low stretch mono has been awesome for me in the 3lb test although I use spinning gear.
  4. Definitely will. I have a Magdraft, B5, and a couple of savage gears on the way.
  5. Both on spinning reels? I wouldn't use a leader in either case on the mono one, but I'd probably look into switching that one to braid with a mono leader too. You shouldn't have excessive line twist with any decent reel unless you spooled the line wrong, are throwing baits that REALLY induce twist like inline spinners, or have an extremely loose drag and are allowing fish to take out a ton of line.
  6. Is this happening with all braid? I'd bet on a bad spool of line before something else ... rare but it happens.
  7. Trying to get into swimbaits and looking for recommendations. I will be using an irod magic stick (rated1/2-2oz) and a Tatula 200 spooled with 20lb something or other. This will be my first venture into true swimbaits and am looking for recommendations for a quarry that I fish where the main forage is bluegill. Looking to fish in 10-15ft of water. *Edit - this probably belongs in tackle

  9. Oddly I noticed this on my K yesterday as well. The drag is still normal and can be gradually increased except there's a lot of "dead drag" where the clicker clicks but theres no drag at all. To be fair though, my Shimanos have considerably more of that than my Daiwas. What you're describing sounds a little more extreme though.
  10. stay still ... There are similar items on eBay ... maybe ask a seller? https://www.ebay.com/itm/203993393444?hash=item2f7ef42924:g:uXQAAOSwkidiqIOg
  11. Anyone know how long this sale is going on?
  12. This question comes up quite often and I knot folks like the theoretical and math stuffs but I wonder what actual field tested difference is after a long cast. For that matter, at what "fullness" of the spool is IPT measured by manufacturers?
  13. Dont recall where I read it but I once heard big bass eat, small bass react. I'm no big bass expert, but from reading what experts have to say, this appears to be at least partially true.
  14. I won't be of much help, but that's a good purchase.
  15. Yes, Gen 3. Gen 2 seems to get more love than 3 but they can't be found.
  16. I agree with @Bird at least pre pandemic their service was far superior to Daiwa or Shimano.
  17. Been searching for a rod that I can use for a variety of things such as frogs, carolina rigs, and smaller swimbaits. Will pair it up with a Tatula 200. Heard good things about the Magic Stick and hope it will work well for what I plan on using it for.
  18. Yeah, but soon you're not gonna find a bait and tackle shop
  19. At this point everything's global. Who cares if the US doesn't have it you can probably buy it online and have it here by Monday.
  20. Sadly, its been a while since we got a good ole "shoulda bought a Lews"
  21. I like long-form posts from experts in their given field. I have a couple of them bookmarked including @WRBs oldschool horizontal jigging thread.
  22. Water treatment plant doesn't take runoff or sewage water, that's the wastewater plant's job. Water treatment plants typically have heads at different levels in the water column of the larger body of water and take water from there. They treat it and then pump it out to the people. In the rare occurrence that they incorrectly dose or arent able to treat to drinking spec, they discard via sewage. As mentioned above, sewage will be gravity feed to a low area. Sewage plants will also have extremely strict standards as to what they can discharge (at least in Texas). Sewage water doesn't typically go back to the water plant directly even if its treated. Around here its used to water golf courses, fields, and for evap AC units for large office buildings and universities.
