Picked up first mold a used do it banana jig mold with 570 or 575 hooks. 2/0, 3/0... I see online that’s a Eagle Claw hook. Is there a substitute Gamakatsu or quality brand? Any tips for a first timer? Any thoughts on this mold and jig? Hopefully this is a gateway mold to get me into casting. Currently a pistol and rifle bullet caster only. Thanks

I’d say we are seeing Pradcos way of selling spots the cheapest possible way without branding and they change enough features to avoid paying royalties somehow? In the end I’d say it is changed to make a few extra pennies. Just a guess

A gathering of blades by the campfire this week. Mine is the faded weathered red Boker Trapper I found laying in a trail and rusted solid til I saved it and restored. And also the old True Temper double bit head I bought at a yard sale in the fall and my first to put a handle in. Now to find more old rusty axe heads to save!

I simply cook a lot of Italian meals and go heavy on the garlic to repel vampires but also to attract bass. So basically if I don’t smell like fish, I smell like garlic and then I smell like fish ?

I couldn’t resist buying a brown, black and white bat for the collection. I’ve never thrown them and have no plan to do so. I gave a friend an extra brown one I bought and he said it crawled fine. I think it would make a great musky lure or big bass bait. I have also bought the Jackal Pompadour and it is an excellent crawling lure that I would recommend you invest in.

How much they want for it?

I would treat it like it was made of gold!!! Wear it some but in 10 years make sure it still looks good as new is my advice.

My first LV’s are in. The 300 no rattle has a one nocker goin on? No sound front to back but side to side is a definite one nocker. Wasn’t expecting that. I’m surprised the 300 has two size 6’s as big of a lure as it is. Both the 100 and 300 has oval split rings line tie but the rings on the 300 are extra heavy duty for both line tie and hook rings. The Lucky Craft nishiki is a beautiful interpretation of clown.

After seeing this thread I took one out for a walk today. Even though the fish didn’t show no love for it, I liked it and can’t wait to use it this year! I threw it at the same place Ive been throwing lipless and crank baits and had to remove vegetation from those lures every cast but the lil sleeper came thru with no veggies to remove.
