Bladed jig trailer speeds
What’s the thoughts on the kick of the trailer on a bladed jig? If I burn a bladed jig in, how important is it that the trailer matches that speed with its motion of kick? What are some trailers for bladed jigs that you would you rate slow, medium and fast speed?

How do you shake your rod?
You might be right @BassWhole! I always figured it was mine and I’d shake it as many times as I want so I didn’t pay much attention to them.

How do you shake your rod?
I was always told if you shake it more than once you’re playing with it.

Toolbox as Tackle Box?
I have one the metal Kennedy tackle boxes from way back. You can run across a hundred of the Kennedy tool boxes to one of the tackle boxes at least the yard sales I see. And yea it weighs a ton

Toolbox as Tackle Box?
Here is 3 of my favorite most often carried tackle boxes... Plastic grocery store bag, large size plastic butter container w/ lid, and an old shoebox lol My fishing buddy also has one of those $2 styrofoam coolers that I have took a sharpie to and now reads Yeti. No I’m not making any of this up ? The bass have not failed to bite either. Keep your eyes open for me on the water, packing that Dollar General bag!!!

Strange/unusual things you've seen fishing
I had been fishing for smallmouth in a river. I laid on the bank resting and to my right less than 3 feet away was a giant beech tree. I then watched a doe with 2 fawns come down the opposite side of the river then cross directly to me and as they passed between me and the big beech I slapped the big doe on the hiney and one of the fawns ran against my hand and arm during the explosion of movement my smack on the bottom brought on. It was amazing and in the middle of a wilderness. To say I touched 2 wild deer. A once in a lifetime thing at least for me. On the bank lay a chewed beaver stick measuring just over 2 feet long, it measured the distance between me and the big beech, I still have the beaver stick for my souvenir of the event.

Fishing Vs Tackling As A Hobby
I’m a tackle addict that also fishes. I’d be buying tackle if I lived in a desert. I only fish 50-80 days a year or one or two days per week. It’s a dam addiction!!!

.410 Recommendations
Yes in addition to the blued and stainless model Judge, there has been a titanium and a aluminum model for lighter weight but more blast/ recoil.

.410 Recommendations
Get that womern one of them Judge pistols by Taurus. The one I bought is the heavy stainless version but they make a lighter version. The coppernockers, rattlers and vermin can’t be counted that mine has kilt.

Any interest in trapping?
Hehehe first you take their chipmunk mouse and rat eating black snake, then they call you back to deal with the over abundance of vermin ?

Anybody use those yellow spotted lizard lures?
I see these guys every March. The yellow spotted salamander. I have seen packs of lizards I think could have been Creme brand that matched these beautifully. The spent .410 case is 3 1/4” long, so this would make quite a meal for a bass. I’d guess it to be close to 10” in length. These salamanders are on land currently but I read of them moving to ponds to reproduce and spend the warmer months. I thought you guys would enjoy seeing the live example of a lure we use.

Starter Baits/Lures for Streams
I catch creek smallmouth on lil craws like this. This one is a Tackle Hd, I took orange garlic spike it pen to the claws. It looks to be a winner once the conditions get right. Zman crawz have caught too many to count for me.

- Floating, weedless buzzbait.
I bought one of the floating whopper plopper buzz and used it once in a farm pond. I found it to be weedless and I had several small bass hit it. Then threw a Senko and several more small bass. It does work and that’s the only time I tried it I’m not sure if there was any bigger fish in there or not. - Floating, weedless buzzbait.
