  2. Since I just set up my frog rod, ive come to some information from pros that they known as frog fisherman like Ish. You need to get moderate fast(not Fast) action, Because you want the rod to load ad hold the fish specially 3lb plus. XH no need at all, you need the heavy action at the most. also length of it 7'2" to 7"4". Yes that is really weird but you can search yourself. Anyways I had the XH Curado Rod 8' and I pair it with Curado DC 150 size, for smaller swimsuits and frog and punching heavy matts here in SoCal. But if you can do it from scratch and choose rod, Make sure to do research and ten go to branding. I hope that could help you.

  7. I wanted to go cast for halibut and I was looking for some reel that I can use in salt water and I came across inception, I read a lot about the magic of the reel, Such as *** and made for salt water and .... I really don't like toy like gear, I am 41 yo and way pass that point, But with what I read and the rod my son not using(Fate black), I decided to get it for my halibut fishing from beach. Please advice on the line, Should I go all the way braid? all the way flouro? or braid with flouro leader for this specific fish? -*** spool bearing technology -6-way centrifugal braking system -Beetle wing rapid access system -18lb Max drag -Instant stop anti-reverse -Japanese Hamai cut gearing -Trick shop compatible -High spin spool shaft -Arrowhead line guide system -Integrated keep-r hook keeper -EVA tech knobs -Ocean Armor 2 saltwater protection process -Aluminum line guide and handle knobs caps -Hard anodized gen 2 worm gear -Micro click cast control

  11. These are special, fast-action rods designed to give warm-water spin fishermen the power and performance of a casting rod in a spinning configuration. While many of these rods are similar to their casting models in both actions and power-ratings, they are rated for slightly lighter line because spinning reels traditionally don't handle heavier line as well as a casting reel, even with oversized guides. These rods were originally developed for fishing soft plastics for bass, but have since been discovered by walleye anglers for vertical jigging as well as grubs and light bottom-bounce rigs. There are five different power “groups”, ranging from 2- to 17-pound test line. Many of these rods are suitable for light saltwater use. They are just what the doctor ordered for bass, walleye and pike on the freshwater side and you'll find a number of ways to use them in light saltwater applications. They are light, sensitive and extremely accurate. The more popular models are available in GLX, IMX and GL3. Price $210
  12. The only mono that I can call high quality is Mxim. Little expensive, but their mono is good. And if you want hard mono I really like Ande.
