Listen I appreciate the cool down and the uptick in bites as much as the next guy...but fall more and winter is close. Up here where I'm at that means 3-5 months of ice lockdown = depression and copious amounts of alcohol plus a bait buying habit that can't be tamed.

I don't gamble in the traditional sense...never been in a casino, only played scratch offs I've got as a present and maybe bought 10 Powerball tickets my entire life. Did bet a fishing buddy a 6pk I'd out fish him. Seemed like a sure thing considering he out fishes me once every few years. Guess what? He outfished me when it counted

Fair enough..although I'm pretty sure Zaldain forgot there are baits other than a mag draft style swim bait like 3 years ago.

So I don't do a ton of dock skipping but all my biggest fish caught that way have come on a jig .

Maybe he sucks with a Ned and he's tired of other guys kicking his a#$ with it. Wacky is his bread and butter so he can't throw shade at it. Make it fit your narrative buddy...that's the move.

I like the square A alot probably have a dozen of them. The shallow a is their version of wake crank...like Mann's minus 1.

Is what it is...not gonna throw a bait if it doesnt produce well for me Everybody's experience is different. I should clarify that I catch some fish on bladed jigs but it never out produces swim jigs or spinnerbaits for me.

Honestly anymore for me its swim jig in almost any color water...if I want more flash or vibration I throw a spinnerbait. I'm over the bladed jig deal.

I've been getting into shallow cranking alot lately...I've already got yo zuri wake cranks, Mann's baby 1 minus, bandit footloose, kvd wake and 1.5 shallows and some 1.0s that I bent the bills on. These caught my eye because I'm of huge fan of the square A. Anybody throw these?

This has been my experience as well. I've caught tons of bass on senkos and tons on neds. Had many gut hooked bass on senkos over the years...zero on Ned rig.

Got a work friend whose an IT guy from our corporate office whose had tickets to this show for months. Every time I see him he's like hey just 6 months...5 months...4 months. The plant I work at is only 40 miles from Sioux Falls...corporate offices are there.

Also living in drought land here so no mosquitos to speak of this year. Biting flies on the other hand are hellacious.

When I worked at the grocery store I had an older lady that had me pick watermelons out of the bin for her....this went on for several summers. In that entire time I think I picked 2 crappy ones. No real technique..just lucky guesses.

I don't think you can justify the cost of a new rod...you only catch about 15000 bass a year

I do not have a tackle addiction and the bait monkey has no power over me. Now if you'll excuse me I have to go find my morning dawn yum dingers..make take a while since my worm container has approx 1756 bags in it.

In the past month I've caught half my bass on a worm of some sort and the other half on a popper or wake crank. That said the hard bait bite is a short window in the morning...like 5:30 til 7:30... Then I may as well forgot about them until 530 am the next day. After that I've caught a few bass mid afternoon in a frog everything else has been soft baits.

I'm a shore fisherman so I do what everybody else does and just throw it on the ground for the parks people to pick up.......just kidding. I put it out in my tackle bag or pocket depending what it is until I can throw it away. I can tolerate alot of bs but littering is not acceptable. I could tolerate somebody being rude or walking up on my spot without asking to a certain degree...but watching somebody throwing empty beer cans in the lake makes me want to hold their head under water until the kicking stops.
