  1. Yeah I heard a story one time..a buddies cousins cousins friend or some such distance thing won the powerball. I asked how much and he said after taxes the guy ONLY won like 8 million. Don't get it ...people making 40-60k a year saying yeah he only won 2 lifetimes worth. Dumb.
  2. I'm not sure that I've ever bought anything from a door to door salesperson. A few years back a boy was going door to door asking for donations to help fund some youth programs at his church. He was mentally challenged and seemed like a sweet kid so I gave him some money..maybe like $20-$30. Heard later that his parents...well known pieces of s#$%..put him up to it and pocketed the cash...at least that's what I was told. Not sure what ever happened to them. Some people are bound and determined to ruin it for everybody. Don't think I'd donate ever again regardless of the cause.
  3. Rage bug has more aggressive action..D bomb is more subtle with very little flapping motion in my experience. I think of the rage baits as both solid trailers and great stand alone baits. The D bomb has been best for me on the back of a flipping jig especially in tough conditions or cold water.
  4. This is a very good point. My buddy showed up one day with a 1\2oz red eye shad tied of his medium spinning rod with 8lb test and a 1\4oz popper tied on his medhvy slx casting rod with 14lb test. I kindly told him hey bud...your backwards there.
  5. We told you and told you. We aren't mad, just very disappointed.
  6. I've never been that impressed with Elvis...I feel like Roy Orbison was a much better singer and if he was a little "prettier" we wouldn't talk about Elvis.
  7. Was gonna say maybe where your at...my local ponds and lakes aren't exactly loaded with bass. Takes some skill and work to find them.
  8. I guess I should have said I find them boring. Maybe if I spent time targeting small mouth I'd find something in it.
  9. So I haven't done this very often but when I have its usually been a success. Not sure why I don't do it more. For those using craws or creatures as a finesse buzzbait\toad what baits do you like? Weight size or weightless?
  10. Every single smallmouth tournament is the same thing...every angler using a tube, black hair jig and dropshot. So boring. Then you look at the top ten of a largemouth tourney and youve got all kinds of stuff mixed in...jigs, Texas rigged worms, buzzbaits, deep cranks, wacky senkos, walking baits..and on and on. Sorry for the ***** fest...just venting.?
  11. This...if you can't comfortably bend down or even reach the fish because of shore obstruction or distance off the water use a net. Also I'd never lift a fish by the line that's just asking for a break off if there is the slightest nick or abrasion. I too am a shore angler and it can be tricky to get down to the water in places so we must adapt and overcome.
  12. This is so weird I legit started thinking about that article yesterday for the first time in years. I remember it well...believe it was an April fools joke.
  13. I read somewhere that serial killers like cold showers...so yeah there that is.
  14. I've seen this mentioned a ton on YouTube the past year or so..how we have gone way to far with electronics. Some guys are for live scope to be banned in tournaments even saying it makes fishing to easy. Well if that's true why are the same guys...Jacob Wheeler, Brandon Palaniuk...always dominating? If its that easy anybody should be able to outfish them right? Wrong...still gotta find the right fish, interpret what your looking at and figure out how to make them bite. Oh and this notion that you have to have all these electronics is ridiculous. John Cox is 2nd in points in Bassmasters AOY...he is basically a bank beater...very little in the way of electronics on his boat so it can be done. Lastly one argument I hear over and over is the real reason these electronics should be banned is because they are so expensive not all tournament guys can afford them. That's absolutely ridiculous. I can afford a new Silverado but my GM can afford a Porsche...should it be illegal for him to buy one since I can't afford it? That's how life works people with more money can afford nicer toys...is there some advantage in that? Yes...does that make it wrong? No. That's just how it is.
  15. Well yes there is that also...whiskey is a diverse liquid...it has the yin yang thing going on.
  16. Well looks like I may have spoke too soon when I responded last September. One of my bass buddies turned out to be a flake after all. He's backed out on me 4 times in 3 weeks..worst part is 3 of those times he asked me to go then cancelled. Asked him this morning if he wanted to have beers tonight and he said no because we are going fishing in the morning. A few hours later he asked if we could go Sunday instead so he could have people over for drinks at his place. I told him you can do whatever you want, I'm going on my own from now on because I'm sick of this blow off *** so I'm done making plans with you.
  17. I fail to see the issue...solid logic as far as I'm concerned
  18. That's whiskey...that's why there's devils cut don't drink that much..problem solved
  19. I was also intrigued until I looked up a teaser on youtube. I like stupid B grade horror movies as much as the next guy but even that has its limits. The Winnie costume looks super dumb and it appears the budget for the movie was approximately $77 and a 30 rack of Keystone.
  20. So I'm a fan of these when its hot as he'll outside like its been here much of the summer already. For those that are fans: what gin do you prefer? Ratio of tonic to gin? Do you squeeze lime in or just do lime wheels in the glass? Always looking to try different recipes!
  21. I don't normally travel much for my fishing like I already posted but if I did and was set on going anywhere I wouldn't let gas price hold me back...within reason. What's keeping me close to home now days is my girlfriend just had pretty serious knee surgery so I'm trying to be around to help her.
  22. Those saugeyes are some beautiful fish...and some prime eats my friend.
  23. I've never really used them but the bait monkey got ahold of me several months back and I ordered like 15 bags of 4in dingers in assorted colors.
  24. Maybe but he's probably still casting and running his trolling motor wrong
