What does everyone do for a living?
Started my career working in a paper mill. Then went into landscape management and started my own Landscape /low voltage wiring troubleshooting and repair biz. Retired last August. Now working my aching bones to the max getting my house upgraded for sale. Hoping to get a bit of spare change out of the crazy market.

Fiberglass gouges
Just mix up some fiberglass resin with some strand and fill & sand. Gelcoat over that. That's if you can see fiberglass mat in the damaged area. If not just gelcoat the scratches.

Line Suggestions for Shimano Stradic ci4 1000
I've never used braid on a 1000. I am a life long user of 6lb Maxima Chameleon. Getting harder to find so I buy it in bulk rolls. I don't know it's actual line strength but I never break off using it in freshwater.

Sun gloves
I don't have real big hands but I buy the large /extra large so they don't cut my circulation. I hate constrictive socks too

A fate worse than death
I went to visit a neighbors recommended barbershop. I stepped in and the old guy barber says 'you're up'. He proceeded to razor cut the shipwreck out of my neck before I realized he kept stopping to get the bleeding in check. I looked in the mirror when I got home and was shocked at the damage. Like a dummy I didn't immediately put anti-bacterial on it. Within a few days I had 5 mosquito-like bumps up in my hairline that have taken over a year to go back down. My wife was cutting my hair for awhile but we are splitting, so now I cut my own with double mirrors so I can see the back. Good enough for an all grey old guy. I don't worry if the chicks dig it any more.

Cops, Sheriffs, Deputy's, any LEO
Go for it. You already run faster than most of the overweight officers I see.

8’ Bass Hunter
Is that the one man version? I have one that I never registered. I still have the paperwork stashed in my garage office. The problem is I'm moving and there is a pile in the doorway so I can't get in there. I fished it once and to be honest I was a bit disappointed as the front dove under water when I kneeled there. The boat is in Oregon along with my later version 10'. The boat is at least 10 years old I'm thinking. Do you have one or two seats?

It's Not ALL About the Fishing
Well, I am so busy processing repairs for a move to Oregon I haven't done anything else but that. When I get moved I'll be working on my 1971 Chevy pick up, 1971 Boston Whaler, 1990 Ford shorty van, 1986 Mazda pick up, and restoring my new to me house most likely. I really want to start up a little shop to putter with woodworking. I rebuilt the mahogany console in my Whaler with zero experience and will likely rebuild it again after learning some tricks.

Wow I bet that was exciting. I would have been talking out loud to myself playing that brute.

Mepps Comet Combo?
I have a bunch of them in various sizes, up to about 3" long (body). Have never caught a fish on them. Maybe when I move to Oregon, lol.

Don't Be That Fisherman
You mistakenly put a 'T' where I'm sure you meant to add a 'C'. I absolutely hate loud music when fishing. Not saying you can't play music, just keep it down so I can hear mine. Because everybody knows mine is better.

I’m gonna be a daddy!
Coming up, no better feeling than the first time you hold them. Congrats.

Mice ate my jon boat cover. Any brand or other ideas to keep that from happening?
It is illegal to shoot squirrels where I'm at. I have no idea why they fall dead out of the trees.

Klamath Falls, Oregon
Yes sir I am, but the process of selling and then buying a new place may drag out for awhile. I have seen many houses in Klamath come and go while watching sales up there. I am learning bunches of Klamath layout just by looking at real estate ads. I have a brother in Chiloquin and another in Klamath. I would like to check out fishing with another bass crazy! I'll hit you up when I get settled.

Million dollar question on setting the drag on baitcaster
I set mine light and use an educated thumb. I think anyone that fly fishes too would understand. Though I bass fished prior to picking up a fly rod. I have always enjoyed the mental adjustment to the thumb pressure according to the strength of the tug. If Mr. Fishy jerks really hard I remove my thumb and let him run. I use the same method with jigs, spinnerbaits or a top water. My methods wouldn't apply if I'm counting on my catch in a tournament or such.

Advice On Bank Fishing Lakes In Central CA?
After I get my E150 work van to Oregon I'm going to remove the shelves and put my homemade bed in there. (Two different foam layers, 4" thick totally). I'm going to copy that pvc /foam rod rack idea for sure. I was an irrigation repair guy for 40+ years so I can play with some pvc. I only have like 78K miles on my van so it should last until the end times for me. I used to fish my 10' Basshunter boat out of the back of a 1970 2 wheel drive Blazer. Hit all the backwaters and sloughs on the delta at night. If you parked a 2 wheel drive Blazer on the delta now it would be stolen, lol. That was 25+ years ago before there were so many creepy types cruising. Pinecrest and the streams along the way were part of my 20's.

Swimming worm
Oh yeah Captain, remember those? I loved that rig with the little spinner on the front. I have never used one again since the first got torn up.
