You can get those from Smooth Drag or Reel Mech. They both sell the same product for the same price and both ship really fast. http://www.smoothdrag.com/index.html http://www.***/shopping/storefront.html

4th Annual BassResource.com Roadtrip!!!
I guess we are meeting up with Booten at Sport Mart on the way down to Kentucky. Of all the places to meet, they had to pick Sport Mart. The last time I stopped at a tackle store on the way to a BR road trip it cost me over $500. I hope we meet before they open. :-/ What is a Sport Mart? Never heard of it. Should I get a third job? It might help. ;D They have a bunch of tackle that is hard to find anywhere else. Hopefully we will be out of there before the store opens for business that day.

Yes, very reliable and a fast shipper. Look at their ABEC 7 Ceramic Hybrid line of bearings. I have a few sets of them in a couple reels. They are a little noisy until they break in, but very smooth afterward.

Hypothetical reel question
I would have to say some kind of round heavy reel like a Quantum US 600, Daiwa Luna, Abu Morrum, or Shimano Calcutta. I have a few of those old Quantum 600's and believe me, they will take a beating.

I hate you... Don't forget that I have my own personal BPS just a couple of miles away. I wish he was going on this trip. I know he probably does too.

Excellent hissy fit
I couldn't watch all of the video. Smith and Wesson has a cure for that.

Unofficial standings from the 2009 Bassmaster Classic
4:19 p.m. ET Unofficial Standings Page Ike's weight is actually closer to 15 or 16 pounds. I just got off the phone with the observer. Earlier in the day, the observer was replaced by one of the ESPN cameramen. During the switch the GPS device stayed in Ike's boat. While Ike was fishing, the observer's boat made a tape switch and Ike was in too sensitive an area to allow another boat to come in and retrieve the GPS. It stayed that way until they were in the lock. At that time, the device was retrieved and the info added. Somehow, a 7-pounder was keyed in. No such fish exists. The true weight is much lower, putting Ike in the top 10 but not in the lead. Steve Bowman

Looks like Ike is on top now. Never give up!! ;D I wouldn't mind seeing Duckett pull another victory this year again but my hearts in it for Clunn.

Not really surprised that Rook is in the lead. He is pretty familiar with that fishery. What's up with KVD?

What is your favorite fishing situation?
Less than 6 feet of slightly stained water, brush everywhere, and a jig on the end of my line.

Question for Daiwa aficionados
Yes, the Sol is the American version of the Alphas. The Sol is just a little heavier. The Pixy is in a class all by itself. To put it bluntly, it's just a beefed up Presso. The Presso has about 2 lbs. of drag pressure, used mainly for trout fishing in Japan. The Pixy comes stock with 3 - 4 lbs. of drag pressure. Several mods can be made to the Pixy including a TD-Z or Zillion line guide, beefed up drag system, worm gear bearing upgrade, and a aftermarket handle if you wish. I have done these mods to all my Pixies. They are great little reels.

Road Trip Attendees Update - 2/16/09
Just bring it back in one piece, I need something to fish out of on Stonewall this summer. You need to come to Ritchie county at least one time this year too. You wanna talk about some flooded timber. Its ridiculous I'll be up there at least twice this summer. Hopefully we can hit somewhere other than Stonewall at least once. I can guarantee that.

Chatterbaits
I'm not a huge fan of the Chatterbait style lures, I would much rather throw a spinnerbait. I have however witnessed a few times when fish preferred this style bait over all others. I got my butt handed to me by a Strike King Pure Poison while visiting Burley last summer. They do work, conditions were apparently right that day for them. He was catching 3 fish to my 1. :-[
