  1. Great looking combo. I love the look of those Zillion rods.
  2. Be prepared for anything. Last year the week before the roadtrip, Guntersville Alabama was having 70 degree weather and sunny. The day we get there the high was 50 with rain. The next day it was a brisk 30 degrees with 40 mph winds in the mornings. The remainder of the week continued with this weather pattern until the final day. Take some of your hunting clothes if you don't have warm fishing clothes, anything can happen...and usually does whenever I'm involved. It's just my natural luck.
  3. No debate, this topic has been beat to death on this board. Just the normal Shimano vs. Daiwa ribbing, that's all. Use whatever you feel is best suited for your needs.
  4. Check eBay often, you might get lucky and find one. You could always call the Kistler factory in Texas to see if they have any extras.
  5. Looks like we have another Daiwa fan developing in the mist. Welcome aboard Rowland.
  6. They will probably PM everyone's phone number that is going on the trip. They did this last year and it worked out great. Pitchin Kid, Speedbead, and myself will be getting there around 2:00 PM on Saturday and probably set up camp then go fishing if time allows. Pretty crazy there is no reserved rooms left already.
  7. Really liking the looks of that shad. It looks way better than what I thought it was going to.
  8. I remember the old version of the Black Widow, I had one back in the day. Man that thing was a piece of junk. Newer version based off that TDA frame should be a decent little reel if it's anything like the TDA.

Those cranks at the top are monsters. WOW!!

Loving that color Marty, especially that shad dot style. Great looking baits.
  11. Great looking rods Brian, really like those micro guides. Looks like someone has been reel shopping too. Best of luck to you moving down south, don't be a stranger.

Isn't that the one with the bull on the front or am I thinking of something else?
  15. That's the size they are around here. Can you imagine the look on my face when I first saw the size of that one at Guntersville? I didn't weigh it but I think it went at least 2.5 - 3 lbs.
  16. Finally, something that justifies my spending habits.
  17. I'm kind of anxious to see what those Stonewall bass will do with the two that are on their way to you. Hopefully one of them will end up looking like the Series 5 Sexy Shad I gave you last summer. Hopefully!!
  18. Chiropractor finally got me straightened out. Go easy on the weights, don't want you impressing all the women in bikinis when you come up this summer.
  19. I saw it a few months back, laughed real hard then. We bought it a couple weeks ago on blue ray and I think I laughed even harder the second time. The drum scene with the tea bagging was too much to handle. ;D
  20. Y'all can have all those crappie you want. I caught one last year at Guntersville on a Rattle Trap and thought I had a bass, it was 17-18" long.
  21. Our Wal-Mart's fishing section is just about nonexistent anymore. The only thing I get there now are those small Strike King buzzbaits for smallies in the spring. It used to be pretty decent...sucks now.
  22. Kind of looking forward to trying this color in the spring.
  23. Got a few of these puppies coming my way. Let's see if they are as tough as the last batch. Burley gave me a crank last year, Series 5 in the Sexy Shad color and I swear it was the toughest d**n crank I have ever thrown. The bill is worn down about a quarter inch, the paint is coming off, the eyes have fallen off and have been replaced. I have tried to lose this thing but it still catches fish, mostly larger fish.
