Shimano poor quality control?
The reels were smooth, but had resistance while cranking in any type of lure. I was thinking the same thing about the clam packs. Needless to say I will be sticking to TW

Shimano poor quality control?
I’ve been using shimano spinning reels for the last 20 years with minimal issues. Over the winter I purchased a sedona and a sahara from dicks sporting goods. I went through three different reels before I finally got a good one. The reels felt stiff, not so much out of the box but when fishing them, their was some resistance when retrieving a lure, something was not right. it just wasn’t a normal feeling I’m used to with shimano. Has anyone else had issues like this before with shimano? The reels were packed in a plastic ”clam pack“ they call it rather than the normal cardboard box. My guess is because they can hang them on the shelves and have them readily available for the customer. It seems like all big box stores have the reels in these plastic packs rather than boxes

What size braid should I go with?
That is deceiving. You will notice a big difference in casting between 15 and 20. I don’t really care too much about distance with the 15 vs 20 but 15 comes off the spool much nicer than 20.

I would try rubbing alcohol if soap and water doesn’t work. It shouldn’t hurt the Eva grip

Curado k issue
Mine is tight when first adjusting for the day then after you move it a bit, it’s easy to turn. The next day, two days, three days or a week later when I fish again the same thing happens. I’ve heard loosening the screw can help or it cannot help, depends who you talk to. I haven’t messed with the screw on mine unless it completely freezes.

Tatula 100
Thanks just found a few vids on YouTube about it. I’ve been at this for years so I am experienced with casting reels. I’ve Used them all with the exception of this “zero adjust” technology. From what I gathered from the vids it was stating everything is adjusted using the mag force z. is the tension knob hard to move?
