  1. 15lb big game is what I use
  2. Look into the Daiwa LT series. A bunch of reels to choose from
  3. Looks good. if you start having issues strip some line off. Slack line techniques can cause the line to bunch at the bottom of the spool so pay attention
  4. Only reason I use lesser is ease of breaking off. With that being said line visibility would be the least of my concerns.
  5. What he said. Don’t get too caught up on color
  6. Sounds like Long Island. It’s worse than ever
  7. Trilene xl or stren original 4lb. Change it often if you fish multiple times a week
  8. I use trilene xl or berkley big game. I don’t use fluoro
  9. I’ve had this issue tying smooth monos like trilene xl to a split ring sometimes. Make sure you wet the knot and add a couple more turns.
  10. How many wraps do you guys use when attaching 10lb power pro to 8-10lb mono/fluoro leader? I’ve always used 7 up and 7 down on 15-50lb braid with no issues.
  11. This is how I fish then 90% of the time with a twitch thrown in here and there
  12. Most likely this, it’s an easy fix. I would just replace it
  13. Been using power pro for years tried a couple others and always go back to power pro from 10lb all the way to 50lb
  14. A small #1 mepps will catch anything that swims
  15. I fish both the fury 734 and 735. 735 is what you want for frogs. I have flipped upto an ounce on it with the sweet spot 1/2-3/4.
  16. This is a fast and easy way
  17. I fished it the last two days putting a few fish to 3 1/2lbs on it and am very happy with it. Good line management, smooth, and decent drag
  18. Yes I have been using $50-$100 shimano spinning reels for years. Always say I’m gonna try something else but usually stay with shimano ?‍♂️
  19. Didn’t want used and I believe it was a 1000
  20. I ended up buying a shimano sahara
  21. Always been a shimano guy, but open to other options. What are you guys using at this price point?
  22. I can’t comment on the carbonlite but I’ve had a fury 703c for a while now and it’s a very versatile rod. I mainly use mine for moving baits but works well with light Texas rig or jig
  23. Has anyone had braid freeze when temps are above freezing? I didn’t think this was possible until today. First time it’s happened to me air temp was 36 and my 15lb power pro was icing up on me. Not sure on the water temp but it was windy as well
  24. I always just boiled water and dipped them for 15-20 seconds. The boiling water will make the plastic a bit softer too
